July 3, 2026 | Southern Baptist College successfully held its College General Orientation at the SBC Gymnasium, initiating an important journey for the academic year. The event served as a warm welcome for the student body and a vital preparation session for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Facilitated by the SBC Guidance and Testing Center, the program provided a comprehensive overview of campus life.

Deans and Office Heads from various academic departments and administrative offices took the stage to detail essential institutional policies, clarify student services, and share key announcements. These presentations were designed to ensure students are well-acquainted with campus procedures and the various support systems available to them.

The activity concluded on a high note, leaving students feeling informed, connected, and fully prepared to embark on a productive and successful academic year.

𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞: 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐁𝐂 𝐚𝐭 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Prof. Novie Joy I. Salmorin had the honor of representing Southern Baptist College President, Dr. Alvin Lynn P. Bergante, during the Consultative Meeting with CHED Chairperson, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis. Beyond the meeting, she also stood in for President Bergante at the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the HEIs Presidents Association officers, where Dr. Agrupis presided as the inducting officer.

The occasion offered a meaningful opportunity for fellowship with fellow administrators, particularly those from General Santos City. Their presence served as a powerful testament to their resilience and unwavering spirit following the recent magnitude 7.8 earthquake.
