Sheikh Abdulrauf A. Guialani, the Bangsamoro M***i and Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta' executive director, reports that the moon has not been sighted tonight, announcing the start of the holy month of Ramadān on 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 19, 2026/𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 1, 1447 𝗔𝗛.

The Ramadan marks as the most significant and divine month for muslims that embodies love, repentance, and seeking knowledge for the sake of Allah (SWT).

The 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 (USC) held the Pre-Ramadhan Symposium 𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗪𝗔 2026 with the theme “𝒜𝒽𝓁𝒶𝓃 𝓎𝒶 𝑅𝒶𝓂𝒶𝒹𝒽𝒶𝓃: 𝒜𝓌𝒶𝓀𝑒𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝐻𝑒𝒶𝓇𝓉, 𝒫𝓇𝑒𝓅𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒮𝑜𝓊𝓁 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒥𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝐿𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉” on February 09, 2026, at the CSU Lights Gymnasium.

Students from different programs, including the 𝗕𝗘𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿, joined the event to better understand the importance of Ramadhan.

The speakers, 𝐔𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐳 𝐉𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐝 and 𝐔𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐝𝐳𝐚𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐳𝐢𝐚 𝐀. 𝐈𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐦 shared inspiring lessons about welcoming Ramadhan and the role of women during the holy month.

The symposium left everyone feeling thankful, inspired, and ready to welcome Ramadhan.
