Rajab is one of the four sacred months in Islam, a time of great honor and sanctity. Rajab is the starting point for spiritual preparation. It's a time to increase acts of worship, cleanse the heart, and build habits that lead into Sha'ban and ultimately Ramadan.

The month of Rajab marks the beginning of preparations for Ramadan. 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗯 is the month of planting seeds, 𝗦𝗵𝗮'𝗯𝗮𝗻 is the month of watering them and 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 is the month of harvesting the crop.

Allahumma barik lana fi Rajaba wa Sha'bana wa ballighna Ramadan

In that room, we were reminded that 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒎 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔—𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚. That choosing the Deen, even when it is difficult, is an act of courage and love for Allah. And that 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑯𝒊𝒎.

A gentle reminder for everyone 💌

Tao tayo, at likas sa atin ang makalimot — that’s why we must constantly remind one another. But if you ever see sisters, or even officers, doing something that displeases Allah ﷻ, remember that it is a human flaw. We shouldn’t be quick to judge, for we, too, have our own shortcomings. As they say, think of seventy excuses before you judge.

Again, this is a gentle reminder. Our duty is to remind each other with kindness, for tawfiq (success and guidance) comes only from Allah ﷻ. He guides whom He wills — and may we be among those He guides. 🫀💌
