Congratulations, Ms. President!

First and foremost, you are now the new voice for hundreds of students at Our Lady of Perpetual Succor College - College Division. And being elected to the Student Council Organization is one of the most incredible opportunities you'll have during college life. Why? Because the countless hours you spend attending events, the late nights you'll have to make plans, and the challenges you don't even know are coming yet will keep you busier than you'll see, making you grow as an individual.

In addition, I know it's a big transition because I have been there, from being an ordinary student responsible for getting to class on time to being accountable for the entire studentry. If you're breathing into a paper bag, know that's a normal reaction, and it will subside eventually.

But luckily, you will have others' back in every part of your journey, so don't worry. You will have to share also stories and experiences that will make you wiser beyond your years.

Lastly, the best advice I can give you is to build a support system around yourself. Surround yourself with mentors who will become anchors throughout your term because they can be your teacher or adviser as the President of the Student Council Organization.

NOW IT'S TIME TO GET TO WORK AND MAKE A CHANGE!

Center for Counseling and Career Development will be having a Gender and Development webinar entitled BAHAGHARI: a talk on gender sensitivity and the use of gender-fair language.

We aim to give the audience UNDERSTANDING and KNOWLEDGE about gender equality. Provide RELIABLE and ACCESSIBLE information about the current status of gender rights in the Philippines and REDUCE stereotyping and discrimination across gender. 💙💛
