Guerilla ES conducted the Orientation on the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents last September 1, 2026, drawing active participation from parents, learners, and teachers.
The orientation focused on strengthening preparedness, awareness, and coordinated response in the event of potential threats within school premises. Participants were guided through simulated scenarios, evacuation procedures, and communication strategies. Teachers practiced leading their classes calmly, learners rehearsed safe exits and protective actions, and parents were briefed on their role in reinforcing safety measures at home.
DepEd also clarified that the actual nationwide drill will be conducted simultaneously on September 3, 2026, across all participating schools. This exercise will serve as the culmination of the orientation, testing the readiness of the academic community and reinforcing the lessons shared.
The initiative was described as a proactive step toward cultivating a culture of vigilance and resilience in schools nationwide. The orientation underscored that safety is a shared responsibility, requiring cooperation among the entire academic community.
