Greetings, Nationalians!

The Safety Office, together with the Health Services Office, would like to remind everyone of our Protocol to Shooting Incidents as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and prepared campus.

In the event of a shooting incident:

๐Ÿšจ Detect โ€“ Stay calm, recognize the threat, assess the situation, and immediately seek a safe location.

๐Ÿ”’ Lockdown โ€“ Secure your area by locking and barricading doors, turning off lights, staying away from doors and windows, silencing your mobile phone, and remaining quiet.

๐Ÿ“ž Alert โ€“ Report the incident immediately by contacting the emergency hotline. Provide the shooterโ€™s location if known, call 911 when it is safe, and share only verified information.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Follow โ€“ Stay inside until authorities give further instructions. Cooperate with security personnel and keep your hands visible when instructed.

๐Ÿƒ Evacuate โ€“ Leave the area only if it is safe to do so. Use a safe evacuation route, do not carry unnecessary belongings, and proceed to the designated assembly area.

๐Ÿฉบ Aid โ€“ Provide first aid to injured individuals only if the area is secure. Apply basic first aid if trained and call for medical assistance immediately.

๐Ÿค Support โ€“ Check on classmates and colleagues, offer reassurance, and report anyone who may need urgent medical or psychological assistance.

๐Ÿ“ Report โ€“ Wait for the official all-clear, report to your assigned assembly area, check in with your instructor or supervisor, and follow official updates only.

Remember your individual responsibilities:
โœ” Stay alert.
โœ” Stay calm.
โœ” Follow instructions.
โœ” Do not spread rumors.
โœ” Report suspicious activities immediately.

Be Alert. Be Prepared. Be Safe. Together, we preserve our community. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

As we continue to pursue excellence in both academics and professional endeavors, let us remember that success begins with taking care of ourselvesโ€”and one of the most powerful tools we have is quality sleep and restorative naps.

๐Ÿ’ค Why Sleep Matters:
โ€ข Strengthens the immune system
โ€ข Enhances memory, learning, and academic performance
โ€ข Improves focus, productivity, and decision-making in class and at work
โ€ข Supports emotional balance and reduces stress
โ€ข Fuels physical recovery and overall well-being

๐ŸŒ™ Why Naps Are Powerful:
โ€ข Boost alertness and sharpen concentration
โ€ข Reduce stress and improve mood
โ€ข Restore energy levels for peak performance
โ€ข Spark creativity and innovative thinking
โ€ข Provide a quick reset during demanding schedules

Neglecting proper rest may lead to fatigue, irritability, weakened immunity, and difficulty concentrating. Over time, chronic sleep deprivation can increase the risk of serious health concerns.

By prioritizing sleep and rest, we empower ourselves to perform at our bestโ€”both inside and outside NU Clark.

โœจ Letโ€™s commit to making rest a non-negotiable part of our daily routine. When we recharge, we unlock our full potential.
