VNHSW Seniors Spark Change in Brgy. Salindeg Outreach β¨
VIGAN CITY β Aiming to foster collaboration and community partnership, Grade 12 Confucius students of Vigan National High School West (VNHSW) successfully launched their first-ever community outreach program, "Liwanag sa Kinabukasan," in Barangay Salindeg on Feb. 20.
Developed as an interdisciplinary task for Inquiries, Investigation, and Immersion (III) and English for Academic and Professional Purposes (EAPP), the students crafted a comprehensive operational plan targeting 70 parents and 30 student-participants.
The initiative focused on holistic development, featuring speaker Yolanda Palas, who discussed the vital importance of Good Manners and Right Conduct (GMRC) in the modern age. Following the session, Xyrelle Rutab took the floor to bridge the gap between home and school, enlightening parents on their essential role in upholding student rights.
The afternoon concluded with a "sharing of blessings," as students distributed preloved clothing and snacks to the participants, marking a successful partnership of academic application and community service.
