Before anything else, make sure that your UNP-CAT rating meets the cut-off score for the program you are applying for. The official cut-off rating for all programs is 75, except for the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program, which requires a minimum rating of 80. Applicants may apply to more than one program under the College of Arts and Sciences, provided that they meet the required cut-off rating for each program.

The Students of Arts and Sciences Organization (SASO) initiated an activity titled "𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻", in collaboration with the 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗦𝗪𝗦𝗢), as part of its continuing advocacy to foster holistic growth and value formation among UNP students. Through meaningful dialogue with 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹 𝗤. 𝗔𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮, 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 the initiative aims to explore the realities, responsibilities, and challenges that come with freedom—particularly in navigating temptations, peer pressure, and life-defining choices in academic and personal spaces.

By grounding the discussion in lived experiences and practical wisdom, SASO seeks to empower students to exercise discernment, accountability, and resilience. The program aspires to cultivate a generation of UNPians who understand that true freedom is not merely the absence of restraint, but the presence of purpose, integrity, and informed decision-making.

𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, 𝗨𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

The 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗢), in collaboration with the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗚𝗔𝗗), successfully conducted 𝗧𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴: 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺
at the 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗼𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹. The extension and advocacy initiative aimed to provide accessible legal support and strengthen awareness of the realities faced by women deprived of liberty, promoting justice, dignity, and compassionate engagement with women in conflict with the law.

The program began with preliminaries that introduced the objectives of the initiative and formally welcomed the participants. This was followed by a legal talk on Women Deprived of Liberty and the Law, which highlighted the challenges experienced by incarcerated women and the legal protections available to them. A Legal Aid Session also provided an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and receive essential legal guidance.

The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates to recognize the participation and contributions of those involved, followed by a simple game activity that fostered connection, encouragement, and a sense of community.

Through this initiative, SASO and CGAD reaffirm their commitment to empowerment, justice, and meaningful community engagement, advocating for dignity, awareness, and supportive pathways for women navigating the complexities of the law.

𝗟𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗸𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆!

The 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗢), in coordination with the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗚𝗔𝗗), initiated an activity titled “𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲: 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮-𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝘆𝗮𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻.” This initiative raises awareness about the Bawal Bastos Law and promote respect, safety, and accountability among tricycle drivers and commuters. Through the distribution of flyers and stickers, SASO and CGAD emphasizes the importance of creating harassment-free spaces on public roads, especially for women and vulnerable passengers.

By leading this campaign, SASO, together with CGAD, reaffirms its commitment to fostering a community where every individual can travel with dignity, security, and respect, turning awareness into everyday action for a safer and more inclusive environment.
