𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹

The Schools Division Office of Vigan City and various school here participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and emergency response readiness.

The activity was attended by DepEd personnel and representatives from partner agencies, who joined in the simulation exercises to strengthen coordination and promote a culture of safety and resilience on Thursday morning.

Participants practiced the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” technique and followed established evacuation procedures during the drill.

Through the conduct of the NSED, DepEd Vigan City continues to reinforce the importance of preparedness, vigilance, and collective action in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel and stakeholders during emergencies.

With gratitude and appreciation, DepEd Vigan City awarded its Top 5 Stakeholders and Top 5 Donors for their significant contributions during Brigada Eskwela 2026, highlighting the spirit of bayanihan and shared responsibility in preparing schools for the opening of classes.

Likewise, DepEd Vigan City recognized its steadfast partners from the Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), and other sectors whose continued collaboration has strengthened the implementation of various educational programs, projects, and initiatives.

Together, we celebrate the power of partnership in creating better opportunities and brighter futures for every Vigan learner.

Education stakeholders gained valuable insights from Hon. Janina Carine Medina-Fariñas during the Local Stakeholders’ Convergence 2026 as she delivered her presentation on “Leading Through Collaboration: Building Strategic Partnerships for Quality Education and Community Development.”

In her discussion, Hon. Through collaborative efforts and shared responsibility, education stakeholders continue to play a vital role in creating opportunities and fostering an enabling environment where every learner can thrive.

𝗩𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 — The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Vigan City gathered its education partners and stakeholders during the Local Stakeholders’ Convergence 2026 on June 16, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to collaborative governance and shared responsibility in delivering quality basic education.

The activity brought together representatives from local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs), non-government organizations (NGOs), parents, civic organizations, private sector partners, and other education advocates who have continuously supported the programs, projects, and activities of the Department of Education.

In her message, Schools Division Superintendent Vilma D. Eda, CESO V, emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships and recognizing the invaluable contributions of stakeholders in achieving the division’s educational goals.

"Today, we are conducting this Stakeholders’ Forum to strengthen our partnerships, and I believe this will also serve as a way of reporting to our general stakeholders what we have accomplished so far in the Schools Division Office of Vigan City," SDS Eda said.

The convergence also served as a platform for the division to present its accomplishments, best practices, and key milestones, highlighting the collective efforts of schools, communities, and partner institutions in improving learner outcomes and promoting quality, accessible, and inclusive education.

Among the distinguished guests were Hon. Art Constantine Oandasan, representing Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias “Jerry” Singson, and Hon. Jay Andia, Chairperson of the Committee on Education of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Vigan, who represented Vigan City Mayor Randolf “Randy” Singson. Their presence underscored the strong support of both the provincial and city governments for the education sector and its continuing development initiatives.

The Schools Division Office of Vigan City, led by Schools Division Superintendent Vilma D. Eda, joins the commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day held at the Rizal Monument, Plaza Salcedo, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

Spearheaded by the Provincial Government of Ilocos Sur, the celebration gathered government agencies, local officials, and various stakeholders in honoring the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought for the nation’s freedom.

Through its participation, DepEd Vigan City reaffirms its commitment to nurturing among learners the values of patriotism, national pride, and responsible citizenship as it continues to promote quality, inclusive, and values-driven education.
