We are pleased to welcome Albert G. Clemente, Information Officer II of Catanduanes State University, as our resource speaker.

Sir Albert brings extensive experience in campus journalism as a former News Editor of The CatSU Statesman and Managing Editor of Daliwawa. A multiple regional and national journalism awardee, he has also served as a resource speaker, trainer, and judge in News Writing and Copyediting and Headline Writing in both English and Filipino. 🏆📝

Our young campus journalists will learn how to:

✍️ identify and correct errors in news copy;
📰 apply essential copyreading principles and symbols;
💡 craft concise, accurate, and attention-grabbing headlines; and

Tomorrow, August 9, at 8:30 AM, our young campus journalists return for Session 7 of the Campus Journalism Bootcamp with Mr. Norman C. De Guzman, Media Writer of the Department of Agrarian Reform–Catanduanes, as our resource speaker.

With his experience in journalism and community-centered storytelling, Mr. De Guzman will guide our participants in transforming scientific ideas, discoveries, and technological developments into stories that are accurate, engaging, relevant, and easy to understand.

📣 Meet Our Session 5 Speaker for the Campus Journalism Bootcamp!

Ready to take your writing to the next level?

Join us as we welcome Mr. Paul John C. Padilla, Master Teacher I of the Special Program in Journalism at Virac Pilot Elementary School (SPJ), for an engaging session on Column Writing.

With more than a decade of experience in public education, Mr. Padilla has mentored award-winning campus journalists and guided school publications to success at the division, regional, and national levels. His coaching achievements include leading his team to 1st Place in Sports Page (2024) and mentoring a student who qualified for the National Schools Press Conference in Column Writing–English (2026).

Beyond campus journalism, he is a nationally recognized coach and writer. He coached the 2nd Place Spoken Poetry winner at the UNESCO-APNIEVE National Peacetival (2021) and won 1st Place in the Department of Education's National Storybook Writing Competition (2023).

Do you have what it takes to become a photojournalist?

Learn from one of Catanduanes' most accomplished campus journalism mentors—Jefferson S. Arcilla.

Sir Jefferson is a public high school teacher with over a decade of experience in the Department of Education and currently teaches the Special Program in Journalism (SPJ) at Catanduanes National High School. He is the President of the Division Association of Secondary School Paper Advisers (DASSPA), the Sports Information Officer of the Schools Division of Catanduanes, and a regional speaker and trainer in Photojournalism, Sports Writing, School Paper Production, and Layouting.
