Davao Oriental State University - Tarragona External Classes

On June 5, 2026, NSTP completers from Davao Oriental State University – Tarragona External Classes formally celebrated the successful completion of the National Service Training Program. This milestone reflects their hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout the course.

The ceremony underscored their strong commitment to service, discipline, and teamwork through meaningful activities that strengthened their sense of responsibility toward the community. It represents an important stage in their academic journey, preparing them to become more active, responsible, and service-oriented individuals ready to contribute positively to society.

Following the successful completion ceremony of the NSTP completers, a significant highlight of the program was the Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which marked the strengthening of partnership between Davao Oriental State University and BLGU–Central, Tarragona, Davao Oriental. This collaboration supports the implementation of the Barangay Kalinisan Day (BARKADA) and Barangay Road Clearing Operation (BARCO) programs, both aimed at promoting environmental cleanliness, safety, and community involvement.

The MOA was formally signed by Dr. Roy G. Ponce (SUC President III), Hon. Fiel Melan C. Bulaong (Punong Barangay), Ms. Christine Jade P. Comendador (Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, DILG Tarragona), Mr. Dennis D. Awing (NSTP Coordinator, DOrSU–TEC), and Mrs. Leopoldo A. Aquino (Campus Administrator, DOrSU-TEC).

| Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) President Dr. Roy G. Ponce is set to deliver the State of the University Address (SUA) during the 5th Founding Anniversary Program on May 28, 2026, at the University Grounds, DOrSU Main Campus, City of Mati.

The SUA will present the University’s major accomplishments, milestones, institutional developments, and strategic directions as DOrSU continues to advance its vision of becoming a regenerative futures university in the Asia-Pacific.

Anchored on the anniversary theme, “G.R.O.W.T.H. In Action: Driving Regenerative Futures through Resilience, Innovation, and Service,” the SUA will present DOrSU’s continuing progress in making regenerative futures visible and lived through solution-driven education, research and innovation, strengthened quality assurance, digital transformation, and other strategic priorities.

Join us as we look back on DOrSU’s journey, celebrate its gains, and look forward to the plans and initiatives that will shape the University’s next chapter.

DOrSU-TEC Year-End Semester 2026 was held on May 23, 2026, with the theme “Denim Attire.” Students showcased their stylish denim outfits and participated in a lively program filled with music, entertainment, and celebration.

Students also demonstrated their talents through dance performances and engaged in friendly competitions between 1st year and 2nd year students. The event also featured an awarding ceremony that recognized students for their hard work, achievements, and contributions.

The celebration fostered joy, camaraderie, and school spirit, creating meaningful and lasting memories for all participants.

The event recognized Scholastic Awardees for their excellent academic performance and Service Awardees for their dedication, leadership, and service to the school and community.
