The UIC College of Medical and Biological Sciences proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to alumnus 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐨𝐥, a distinguished Medical Technologist, on earning his 𝙋𝙝𝘿 𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙞𝙣 Poland graduating 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒂 𝑪𝒖𝒎 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒆.

This milestone reflects not only academic excellence but also his dedication, perseverance, and passion for advancing science. May this accomplishment continue to inspire the UIC community and pave the way for greater contributions in the field of oncology and medical laboratory science! 🧬

Today we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable woman, Ret. Judge Virginia Hofileña-Europa.

Her judicial excellence made her well-known to the public but her dedication as part of the UIC Alumni Association family stands as her most important achievement. She lived out her faith through her dedicated service work which created enduring benefits for both the UIC community and the legal field that she cherished throughout her life.

Judge rest in peace. You have completed your battle with honor.

Congratulations to the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) for successfully being granted accreditations by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities, Inc. (PAASCU).

The 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 are granted re-accreditation for five years, valid until February 2031. Additionally, the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 is granted initial three-year accreditation until February 2029. Meanwhile, the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 – Preliminary Survey program can apply for a Formal Visit six months to one year after receiving the report.

PAASCU’s goal is to support member schools in their journey towards quality improvement that is grounded in the institution’s educational philosophy as well as the school’s unique vision and mission. The University of the Immaculate Conception, with its stakeholders, ensures that it engages in a careful and thorough review of its objectives, plans, programs, systems, resources, and results.

The university offers its heartfelt gratitude to the administration, faculty, staff, and stakeholders for this milestone.

We celebrate the 363rd Baptismal Anniversary of Venerable Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo. Her baptism was the start of a journey that broke barriers and empowered Filipino women through faith and education. We give profound thanks for her life, which continues to be a compass for the UIC community.

Last February 25, 2026 UIC Alumni Association BOD headed by Ma'am Joji Ilagan held a meeting with the College Alumni Moderators to discuss the plans of the association and the university on the creation of alumni international chapter.

This is just some of the works of the association to strengthen the network of alumni residing not only locally but also globally..

Let us all pray for the success of these plans.

With deep sorrow, yet with faith in the promise of eternal life, we announce the passing of our beloved Sister, ♰ 𝐒. 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐀 "𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐈𝐄" 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐎 𝐃𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐍, 𝐑𝐕𝐌, who was called home to our heavenly Father on February 22, 2026.

We humbly ask for your prayers for the eternal repose of her soul, and for strength and consolation for her family, community, and loved ones.
