Today, SEEDS Asia and Japan Platform turn-over emergency response materials and equipment!
SEEDS Asia and the Japan Platform have maintained a strong and enduring partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) since 2013, established in the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda, which severely affected many communities in the Philippines. This collaboration was formed to support the immediate and long-term needs of the education sector during emergency and recovery phases.
Through this partnership, SEEDS Asia and the Japan Platform have consistently provided vital materials and equipment to schools, particularly during emergency situations, helping ensure the continuity of learning and the safety of learners and educators. Their support has significantly contributed to strengthening school preparedness, response, and resilience in times of disaster.
In line with their continuing commitment to quality and inclusive education, SEEDS Asia and the Japan Platform have extended their support to projects aimed at enhancing the implementation of the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM). This includes assistance for the establishment and operationalization of ADM Implementation Hubs, which serve as key mechanisms in delivering flexible learning options to learners who are unable to attend regular face-to-face classes. Their contribution plays a crucial role in advancing accessible, adaptive, and learner-centered education, especially in disaster-prone and geographically challenged areas.
Paypay NHS is grateful being chosen as one of the recipients in the entire Cebu Province!

Paypay National High School Welcomes Back Learners After Three-Month Hiatus
Paypay National High School officially welcomes back its Grades 7, 8 and 9 learners today, January 12, 2026 following a three-month suspension of face-to-face classes caused by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that affected the municipality. The temporary closure was implemented to prioritize the safety and welfare of students, teachers, and school personnel while comprehensive structural assessments and safety evaluations were conducted.
After a thorough inspection by concerned authorities and the issuance of the necessary clearance to re-occupy, the school is now ready to gradually resume limited face-to-face classes. This milestone marks an important step toward the restoration of normal school operations while ensuring that all safety standards and precautionary measures are strictly observed.
The school administration expresses its gratitude to parents, guardians, teachers, and partner agencies for their continued cooperation, patience, and support during this period. As classes resume, Paypay National High School remains committed to providing a safe, supportive, and conducive learning environment for all learners.

Safety Advisory!
Please be reminded that the three-storey DPWH building had been assessed and remains unsafe for occupancy. As such, the building will remain closed and restricted for use while waiting for the necessary repair and rehabilitation works to be undertaken to ensure structural safety and compliance with standards.
All students, teachers, and personnel are advised to observe the designated restrictions and follow further advisories from the school administration regarding updates on the building’s status.
09/01/2026
Paypay National High School conducted Psychological First Aid (PFA) activities for learners prior to the resumption of face-to-face classes on January 7 and 8, 2026. The activity was facilitated by the Guidance Designate Teacher, with the support of the Class Advisers, to ensure that learners are emotionally prepared and supported as they return to school.
This activity focused on providing learners with a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where they could express their thoughts and feelings, process recent experiences, and rebuild a sense of safety and normalcy. It aims to reduce stress, strengthen coping skills, and promote emotional well-being, especially during times of transition or after challenging events. Like a steady hand offered before crossing a bridge, the activity reminded learners that they are not alone and that support is always within reach.
Through this initiative, Paypay NHS reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding not only the academic progress but also the mental and emotional well-being of its learners.
