๐ข KUSINANG BAYAN X ESKWELAHANG DEE SUPELANAS IS BACK!
๐ฒ Kusinang Bayan is in need of urgent volunteers to help participate in community kitchen efforts this coming July 9, 12:00 PM (Thursday) in Sitio Marna, Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
๐จ The residents of Sitio Marna are currently facing an illegal demolition, with over 170 families already being displaced by Tai Pan / Gaisano Corporation and their violent armed goons. Residents are in urgent need of immediate relief. We are calling for volunteers and additional manpower to support the community during this critical time.
๐ Afterwards, Eskwelahang Dee Supelanas will be holding an educational discussion on "Lagutin ang Tanikala" to better understand the situation of the urban poor. Together, we will examine why urban poverty continues to grow, its historical and economic roots, and the systemic causes behind the continued displacement of poor communities.
โ Join us in serving the people and learning from their struggles.

๐๐ฅ "GOLDEN AGE" BA G'YUD DIAY TO SAUNA?? โ
As the EDSA commemoration day is approaching, let us never forget the atrocities caused by the Marcos Regime that left many Filipinos to lose their livelihood, future, and lives. During the Marcos regime, there was a total of 70,000 political prisoners, 34,000 tortured, and 3,240 killed. This left millions of Filipinos deeply scarred, however, let us also not forget the collective action and revolutionary struggle of the masses.
๐WHAT: THE STATE OF THE PHILIPPINES UNDER THE MARCOS REGIME
๐๏ธWHEN: MONDAY, Feb 23 6:00 PM onwards
๐WHERE: UP Cebu Kiosks
The discussion, taught in collaboration with UP Cebu University Student Council and Nagkahiusang Kusog sa Estudyante - NKE UP Cebu, will teach us the condition and lived realities of the oppressed farmers, students, workers, and masses under the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. and how they chose to resist and struggle against the fascist dictatorship.
As years go by, no matter how much detractors change the narrative of what truly happened during martial law, let us never forget the human rights violations, deaths, and economic crises that happened. This ED reminds us Filipinos to sharpen our critical thinking amidst historical revisionism.
Our fight still continues! It is only through collective mass action and resistance can we achieve genuine national democracy! ๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ

๐ฃ NAP-UPD: UNITY, PEACE, AND DEVELOPMENTโOR UNITY IN SILENCE, PEACE BY FORCE, AND DEVELOPMENT FOR THE FEW?
The Philippine state continues its bloody campaign of repression against the Filipino people and their democratic aspirations. Under the USโMarcos regime, the AFP has intensified counterinsurgency operationsโresulting in the killing of civilians, the militarization of communities, and widespread fear.
The government presents the National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development (NAP-UPD) as a solution to the armed conflict. But on the ground, what people experience is not unity, peace, or developmentโonly soldiers in communities, red-tagging, harassment, and violence.
NAP-UPD does not address the root causes of the armed struggleโlandlessness, poverty, unemployment, rising prices, and foreign control of our economy. Instead of real reforms, the state chooses militarization and repression to protect its power.
๐ญ As the USโMarcos regime continues to push this program nationwide, we must ask: Who benefits from this so-called โpeace plan,โ and who pays the price?
Join us as we expose the real nature of the governmentโs war on the people:

๐ฃ KINSAY NAGBUOT SA KALIBUTAN?
Imperyalismo, usa ka gutom na parasitiko nga nahimong mas biolente sa matag paningkamot sa katawhan nga mobuwag gikan sa iyang kontrol
For decades, the United States, has carried out coups, imposed sanctions, and launched military interventions against weaker nations that refuse to submit to its interests, all while using โspreading democracyโ, โweapons of mass destruction,โ and โwars on drugsโ to justify their actions.
In this spirit of international solidarity and anti-imperialist struggle, Eskwelahang Dee Supelanas, in collaboration with League of Filipino StudentsโCebu (LFS), invites you to join our forum:

WALAY PASKO sa GUTOM nga PILIPINO
As stated by the Trade Secretary, Cristina Roque, the current prices of goods, according to the DTI Price Guide, showed that โฑ500 could finance a Noche Buena for the average Filipino family (GMA). The 500-peso budget claim is not only criticized because it's an out of touch statement, but it degrades the right and dignity of the average Filipino to celebrate a proper holiday. Every Filipino deserves a celebration with dignity.

๐ฃ ASA GYUD GIKAN ANG MARXISM?
Is Marxism just an idea? A belief? Or a political โlabelโ?
According to V. I. Lenin, Marxism was not created overnight, nor was it simply the personal opinion of Karl Marx or Friedrich Engels. It did not come from abstract thinking or individual ideas alone. Instead, Marxism developed as a scientific theory that grew out of the best ideas and real experiences of society in the nineteenth century.

THE THREE SOURCES & THREE COMPONENT PARTS OF MARXISM by V.I. Lenin
๐๏ธ Saturday, December 20 | 12:00 PM

โข The three components of Marxism โ Marxist philosophy, political economy, and scientific socialism โ which together became one of the most influential frameworks for understanding capitalism, historical change, and social transformation.
โข How the theory of socialism developed and the inspiration Marx and Engels drew from these ideas.
โข Why a socialist perspective is essential in the advance of the national-democratic struggle.
This discussion is not just about theory, but itโs about understanding society, connecting ideas to our reality, and strengthening our capacity for collective action.

This session will delve into the capitalist roots of oppression, the mechanics of global exploitation, and how imperialism perpetuates poverty and oppression within the landscape of Philippine politics, economy, and society. We will lay bare the structures that concentrate power in the hands of the ruling few while keeping entire countries exploited and impoverished.
By understanding imperialism, we gain a clearer view of why our economy remains backward, agrarian, and export-oriented; why the big comprador bourgeoisie and landlord class act as agents and collaborators of foreign interests; and why the national-democratic revolution is necessary to break the chains of foreign and local exploitation.
