On this day, our campus journalism team attended a training session in preparation for the upcoming DSPC. ✒️📋

During the workshop, we learned valuable lessons that will surely help us grow as aspiring journalists—each and everyone gained new insights and skills that will guide us in the competition ahead.📍

We are truly grateful for this wonderful experience and to our guest speaker, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚, for generously sharing her time and wisdom with us. Her words inspired us to become not just better journalists, but more passionate reporters. 💛

At the end of the day, we didn’t just learn — we grew together as journalists. 📝💛

Walk with purpose

On September 28, 2025, students and teachers from the Royal Colleges of Science and Management (RCSM) joined thousands of participants who filled the streets at dawn for this year's Alay Lakad—a symbolic march of unity, hope, and purpose.

This year's walk once again proved that even the simplest steps can lead to a lasting impact. From the colorful shirts of different schools to the banners they proudly carried, the participants showcased their diversity yet walked with a single mission: to support and empower the youth.

More than just a fundraiser, the walk stood as a living testimony that communities thrive when people come together. It was a clear dedication of time, effort, and sweat to a vital cause: the education and empowerment of the next generation.

Every August, schools and institutions across the Philippines are adorned with banners, native fabrics, and echoes of “Filipino pride.” But beyond the colors and cultural presentations lies a deeper call—a reminder of who we are, and the language that binds us together.

This year, we celebrate 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 with the theme:
“𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀: 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻”

Spearheaded by the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF) and supported by the Department of Education (DepEd), Buwan ng Wika goes beyond mere celebration—it is a call to rediscover and reaffirm our cultural identity.

This year’s theme reminds us that language is not just a tool for communication. It is history, it is culture, and it is unity. In a nation rich with over 180 dialects, valuing Filipino and native languages is more than cultural pride—it’s nation-building.

As we celebrate, let’s remember:
