LNHS Symposium 2024: Empowering Choices, Shaping Futures.

On October 28, 2024: Luyang National High School together with the collaboration of LGU- San Remigo held a symposium about teenage pregnancy in grade 10 learners of LNHS.

The morning session began with a lecture and heart to heart talk with Doctor Orleta B. Ursal- 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿, Mr. Ranel O. Ytang- 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹, and Ms. Kanako Isa- 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿. The said activity was also attended by maam Ma. Theresa Ponce- 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗜𝗻-𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲 (Bray. Luyang), BHW's, Faculty Staff of Luyang NHS, and SK Officials.

The Symposium ended with the 𝙐4𝙐 𝙏𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡 activity in the afternoon with the help of teen facilitators (The Luyang National High School SSLG Officers). The participants get to visit, 8 stations with different activities or lectures in reflection to the effects and possible risks or the best way to decrease the cases of Teenage Pregnancy in our community.

The event was a great success, and we're proud of the Grade 10 learners for taking advantage of this opportunity. Ms. Kanako Isa's presence at Luyang National High School made a real difference, and we're thankful for her contribution.

Luyang National High School Celebrates Success in Science and Math Events

Luyang National High School recently participated in two exciting events that showcased the talents and skills of its students in Science and Math. The Science event took place at Tacup Integrated School on October 2, 2024, while the math event was hosted at Luyang National Highschool on October 11, 2024. Both events highlighted the dedication and hard work of our students.

Science Event Highlights

The science event at Tacup Integrated School was filled with enthusiasm and competition. Students from various grades participated in the quiz bowls, and Luyang National High School made a strong showing in aiming success. In the Grade 9 quiz bowl, our school secured 3rd place, demonstrating their knowledge and quick thinking. The Grade 10 also performed well, finishing in 3rd place, showing their determination and hardwork. The highlight of the quiz bowls was the Grade 11 team, which took home the 1st-place, proving their exceptional understanding and determination of aiming thr first place.

In addition to the quiz bowls, there were creative contests that showcase the talents and abilities of each learners. Our students expressed their creativity in the slogan-making contest, where they earned 3rd place. In the poster-making contest, they excelled as well, achieving 2nd place. These achievements reflect the students' ability to express their ideas and knowledge visually.

Math Event Success

The math event held at Luyang National High School on October 11, 2024 was another remarkable occasion for our students. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students took part in various competitions. In the Math Challenge, our Grade 9 and Grade 11 students shined brightly, both finishing in 1st place. Their hard work in preparing for this challenge clearly paid off!

The DAMATH competition, our Grade 10 student perform admirably, securing 2nd place. The creativity of our students was further showcased in the Modulo Art competition, where they placed 2nd in the square grid category and 3rd in the kaleidoscope category.

Our students didn’t stop there. They brought energy and enthusiasm to the Math Jingle contest, where they secured 2nd place, and in the Math Sayaw, they danced their way to a 3rd-place finish. Finally, our students embraced the spirit of fun and creativity in the Mathematician Look-Alike contest, where they proudly claimed 1st place.

Congratulations to Our Winners! Luyang National High School is proud of all its participants in these events. The dedication, teamwork, and creativity displayed by our students highlight their commitment to learning and excelling in science and math. These accomplishments not only reflect the students' hard work but also their ability to shine in competitive environments. Establish a Connection, Work Together, and Change Things : PTA Meeting August 2024

On August 22, 2024, Luyang National High School, in collaboration with parents and teachers, held its first general
pta meeting for the S.Y 2024-2025. The gathering focused on various topics aimed at enhancing the school’s environment and educational experience.

The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Franklin Saludar, who greeted the parents of students in attendance. Following this, the ever-dedicated Mr. Rexiejay Pagatpat provided an orientation on the school’s rules and regulations, ensuring that all parents were well-informed.

Mr. Nolan Sipalay, the outgoing PTA President, then took the floor to discuss the liquidation of funds from the previous year, offering transparency and accountability to all stakeholders. Additionally, Mr. Saludar shared a special announcement, which was met with great interest from the parents.

The meeting concluded with Mr. Sipalay leading the election of new PTA officers, ensuring that the leadership team would continue to guide the PTA's efforts in supporting the school community.

Luyang National High School is on its way to becoming one of the standout institutions in San Remigio, Cebu, thanks to the unwavering support of parents and the dedication of its teachers.
