PALACE DECLARES MAY 27 A REGULAR HOLIDAY FOR EID’L ADHA; OPERATIONS RESUME MAY 28

Malacañang on Tuesday declared Wednesday, May 27, 2026, a nationwide regular holiday for the observance of Eid’l Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice.

The declaration was issued following a recommendation from the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), which determined the date based on the 1447 Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar. One of the most significant feasts in Islam, Eid’l Adha honors Prophet Ibrahim's devotion and underscores the values of charity and community solidarity.

Government offices and campus operations will close for the day. All regular school operations will resume on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
