On September 25-26, 2026, the Moalboal LGU through its Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and the Moalboal District of DepEd through its Guidance Coordinator conducted a Capacity Building for the Child Protection Committee members for all 22 schools of the LGU, including the SSLG and SPG presidents.
Synergy Academy's owner, Atty. Orville dela Cerna was invited as the Resource Speaker and Facilitator for said seminar-workshop.
Topics discussed were the following:
a) Refresher of DO 40, s. 2012 and its Supplemental Guidelines which empasized about the inclusion of Anti-Child Marriage Law and Anti-OSAEC and Anti-CSAEM Law. A workshop in accomplishing the Enhanced Intake Sheet was done.
b) Revised IRR of the Anti-Bullying Act (DM 90, s. 2025) with elaborative discussion about the levels of bullying and disciplinary proceedings. Thereafter, a bullying dramatization was performed by the student leaders followed by a dramatization of a disciplinary proceedings from immediate response to the investigation, including a writeshop of the minutes and decision of the disciplinary proceedings.
c) Guidelines in Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (DO 6, s. 2026) with discussion of the new contents of a Learners Handbook, Code of Conduct and School Anti-Bullying Policy, as well as the preventive and responsive mechanisms against violence in schools.
At the end, the participants were tasked to write their action plans in application of what they learned from the activity.
