3rd Day at Danao Chess Academy Summer Chess Camp 2026 ♟️

From opening principles to tactical battles, our young woodpushers continue to learn the value of discipline, patience, and confidence inside the 64 squares.
What makes this journey special is not only the lessons in chess — but the friendships, focus, and fighting spirit being built every single day.
To our campers: keep thinking deeper, stay humble, and never stop learning. Champions are not made overnight — they are built through consistency, courage, and countless calculated moves. ♜

A special visit from greatness yesterday at the Danao Chess Academy ♟️
Look who dropped by — John David Coming, Champion of the CVIRAA Meet 2026 Elementary Boys Category, and soon to represent the region 7 in the prestigious Palarong Pambansa. 🇵🇭
Alongside him were his battle-tested comrades from the Sogod Knights Club — a circle of rising tacticians and disciplined board warriors continuously making noise in the competitive chess scene.
Their visit brought inspiration and motivation to the young minds of Danao Chess Academy. Moments like these ignite the hunger to improve, dream bigger, and compete at the highest level. Seeing champions up close reminds our students that with discipline, dedication, and countless hours over the board, reaching regional and national stages is truly possible.

Day 1 of the Summer Chess Camp welcomed 27 promising minds into a space defined by discipline, precision, and elevated thinking at Danao Chess Academy. Each move on the board reflected not just skill, but the quiet pursuit of mastery.
Guided with expertise and intention, special thanks to the Trainers from Miñoza Chess Academy master Fide Arbiter Dione Miñoza and NM master Rics for shaping the foundation of these aspiring tacticians.
Big thanks also to the very supportive School Principal of Severo Duterte Memorial Elementary School, Mam Malou QuirosBatoon Lavador, for her invaluable support in making this program possible.
