Panahum - CBSHS Panahum is the official student publication of the City of Bogo Senior High School (CBSHS)

PANAHUM is the official publication of City of Bogo Senior High School. It is a combination of 'pana' and 'katahum' which means 'speargun of giftedness'. This publication will help the students in enhancing their social, cultural and political awareness, molding public opinion, and encouraging critical and creative thinking.

CITY OF BOGO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL - Brigada News FM Bogo City’s Reporter Marr Francis R. Clamares turned over a metal detector to the City of Bogo Senior High School today, August 24, 2026, in an effort to support the school’s security and safety measures.

A metal detector is an electronic device that uses an electromagnetic field to detect the presence of metal objects nearby. It extremely useful in security checkpoints, construction, archaeology, and even school security. This device can serve as an additional security measure to help identify prohibited metal objects before they enter the campus, potentially reducing risks associated with incidents such as shooting, stabbing and other form of violence.

The donation is expected to help school personnel screen individuals entering the school premises and maintain a safer environment for students, teachers, and staff. The initiative also highlights the importance of collaboration between media organizations and educational institutions in promoting school safety and ensuring that schools remain secure and welcoming places where students can learn and feel at home.

Pormal na binuksan ng City of Bogo Senior High School ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026, alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1041, s. 1997, na naglalayong higit na mapahalagahan at mapalaganap ang Wikang Filipino bilang mahalagang bahagi ng ating kultura, pagkakakilanlan, at pagkakaisa bilang sambayanang Pilipino.

Ngayong taon, tampok ang temang, “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.”
Binibigyang-diin ng temang ito ang mahalagang papel ng Wikang Filipino bilang kasangkapan sa pagkatuto, pananaliksik, at pag-access sa impormasyon, kasabay ng responsable, etikal, at mapanuring paggamit ng Artificial Intelligence (AI) sa makabagong edukasyon.

Bilang panimula ng pagdiriwang, ang Unang Linggo ay nakatuon sa “Wikang Filipino: Ugat ng Ating Pagkakakilanlan,” na nagpapaalala sa ating lahat na ang ating wika ay salamin ng ating kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan bilang isang bansa.

Sa buong buwan ng Agosto, magsasagawa ang paaralan ng iba't ibang gawaing pampagkatuto at mga makabuluhang aktibidad na isasama sa pagtuturo upang higit na malinang ang kasanayan ng mga mag-aaral sa paggamit ng Wikang Filipino, pananaliksik, pagkamalikhain, at responsableng paggamit ng AI.

Ever since I was a kid, people viewed me as a gifted child. Having this kind of privilege is like a wealth most people are used to seeing achievers succeed something. They crave success.

Ever since I was a kid, people have viewed me as a gifted child. A prodigy, they say. Their voices echoed with admiration, and expectations I cannot fulfill entirely. Perhaps it was hope. Perhaps it was appreciation. Either way, it clung to me like a shadow. It followed me through my years of being a student, and now, I feel like it was more like a script written before I even learned how to use a pen.

At first, it was a badge of honor, something I have worn with quite pride. But somewhere, it stopped feeling like an achievement and started feeling like an obligation to be brilliant, to never disappoint their loud and silent expectations. Each compliment was another thread tightening around my shoulder.

No one warned me that being extraordinary meant walking alone, that the higher I become, the quieter the world became. The called me gifted. But never tired. Never afraid. What use is having this privilege if it meant being admired from a distance but never truly known? What use is being extraordinary if it only leaves you aching for something ordinary?

I strained to catch a frail tune.
But unopened hands cannot grasp.
What they do not yearn.

"Woe is the life of the unloving!" the songs preach.
Yet my eyes bore no tears.
For love is a bounty
I will not relish in.

Loneliness is not a curse,
To those whose heart seek not desire.
I find solace in becoming.
Not in another.

My heart keeps company with triumph,
And asks for little more.

I'll filibuster every melody
That crowns romance sovereign.
As I hum a solemn tune;
