The University of the Philippines Cebu congratulates Team 2Ls from the Department of Computer Science for being hailed as CHAMPION at the Philippine Junior Data Science Challenge (PJDSC) 2025), held last November 22 at the College of Science Auditorium, UP Diliman.
The team composed of Christian James Bayadog, Norman Jazul Jr., John Carlo Sandro, Kint Louise Borbano, and Eliseo Alcaraz developed “drAin: Where AI Meets the Flow,” an AI-driven solution for predicting and strengthening urban drainage systems.
UP Cebu also recognizes Team ChatJpTy, one of this year’s finalists, consisting of James Gabriel Elijah Ty, Ishah Nicholei Bautista, Ceferino Jumao-as V, Kyle Johanstein Lee, and Princess Jaena Marie Dela Peña, for representing the university in the competition.

We would like to congratulate Team Credit Pass for winning 2nd runner-up in the Finance Track of the Huawei Developer Competition 2025 Asia-Pacific. Among 293 teams across the region, they were the only Filipino team in the category.

The DEADLINE FOR DROPPING SUBJECTS for the 1st semester (A.Y. 2025-2026) will be on November 7, 2025 (Friday). Students who intends to drop a subject must complete the necessary requirements and secure approval before this deadline.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: If a subject is dropped after the middle of the term, 08 October 2025, the faculty member concerned must indicate the date and the class standing of the student at the time of dropping as either Passing or Failing, solely for administrative guidance. (Revised UP Code: Art. 350-351).
