On February 14, 2026 (Saturday), the College of Teacher Education successfully conducted a seminar for BEED SO/ST interns at the UC Jones AVR, featuring our Learning Facilitator, Atty. Cesar Pasigna-Gulang.

Atty. Gulang shared valuable insights on the topic “Safe Spaces Act and Child Protection Policy.” He emphasized that every learner deserves a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where they can grow academically and emotionally. He reminded future educators of their responsibility to understand students’ rights, prevent harassment and bullying, and uphold policies that protect children inside and outside the classroom.

Key Points:
● Teachers must create safe and respectful learning environments.
● Understanding the Safe Spaces Act and Child Protection Policy is part of a teacher’s professional duty.
● Empathy, awareness, and proper action help protect learners’ well-being.

The seminar provided meaningful guidance on our responsibilities as future educators and reminded the interns of their vital role in creating safe, supportive, and nurturing classrooms where every learner feels protected and valued. 💛💙
