The Spanish Augustinian friars of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, conscious of their responsibility as the Christian pioneers who made Cebu the cradle of Christianity in the Far East, awoke to the realization that theirs is the duty of playing a prominent role in shaping the spiritual life of the people. After more than three centuries of the Spanish rule in our country, the friars of

the Order of St. Augustine (OSA) continued their pastoral and evangelizing presence in the country. They founded educational institutions and one of these is Colegio del Santo Niรฑo in Cebu City.

The Basilica guards will inspect the bags of our children before they enter the premises. We kindly ask for your understanding, patience, and cooperation as we implement this additional safety measure.

Since our school is located within the Basilica premises, this inspection is part of the safety and security protocols being implemented to help ensure the protection and well-being of our students and the entire school community.

In addition to the Basilica inspection, there will be another security inspection conducted by our school guards. Our CSN personnel will assist in ensuring that the entry process is orderly and safe.

The main gate will be temporarily closed to allow our two school guards to focus on the proper frisking, bag inspection, and use of the metal detector.
