Paglaum We are here to transform lives one story at a time. Because our stories can change the world. Summer of 2016. PAGLAUM was conceived. They are after all teenagers.

The first Storytelling in Motion Picture summer workshop was organized by BP Cebu Foundation (BPCFI) in partnership with Overmind through Gregorio Rodriguez III. There were 10 participants coming from the Students of Support at a Distance Program of BPCFI and a friend. As the workshop proceeded the participants slowly realized that they were getting valuable lessons in LIFE. It helped them to open

up, accept their own situations and tell their stories for others like them to have HOPE. Their output, a short Documentary of their stories was well received. After that summer they continued to hope and to dream but it was not easy because they had nothing. How could they have gone ahead? But people saw what they were capable of doing if only they were given the chance. Thanks to BPCFI, Overmined through Gregorio Rodriguez III and Ian Amane, TELUS, the second summer workshop came to being. The birth of PAGLAUM. PAGLAUM (Hope)! We are a group of young teenagers, coming from different Socioeconomic backgrounds, hoping to give our contribution to transform society. First by transforming ourselves, then by helping others through our stories. Stories we will tell you through FILM directed, shot and edited by us. "Initially, I thought that film making workshop only teaches about cinematography. But I realize that it also teaches about life and reality."

“Blurred Branches” (Ian Amane, 2014)

One of my more interesting photos taken with an iPhone 5 in a waterproof case. The moisture outside the case blurred the photo enough to give it a dream like effect. Lee Acaster does this really well with full control.
