𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐𝟎:𝟐𝟏

None of us are here by accident. Our delegates, graduate volunteers, and staff have each been intentionally placed by God in their campuses, families, communities, and workplaces for His Kingdom. 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙬𝙣. 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙗𝙮 𝙂𝙤𝙙.

Kawayan Camp 2026 is more than another gathering. It is a place where God shapes hearts, deepens convictions, and prepares laborers to faithfully live out the mission He has entrusted to them. 𝙒𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙥. 𝙄𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖 𝙟𝙤𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙃𝙞𝙢 𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨, 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛.

We often think that being sent belongs only to those who go. But Scripture reminds us that there are also those who faithfully send. In God's mission, not everyone is called to go in the same way. 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩, 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜. Both are acts of obedience. Both are Kingdom work.

Today, 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐄𝐕𝐑𝐔 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 ₱𝟒𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Every prayer offered, every post shared, and every gift given becomes part of someone's journey of saying "yes" to God's call.

"How can they preach unless they are sent?"
Romans 10:15

If the Lord is leading you, we invite you to partner with us in sending these young men and women. Your support is more than helping them attend a camp. It is an investment in lives that God is equipping to make Christ known on campuses across our nation.

"What emotions did you feel when you were a first-year student?"

When I asked our students this question, their answers echoed with familiar vulnerability. Some said, "I was nervous." Others shared feelings of anxiety, fear, and feeling completely overwhelmed. Only a few said they felt excited.

These words paint a picture of the thousands of first-year and transfer students arriving in our cities and towns right now. They are stepping onto unfamiliar campuses, searching for a friendly face. They need an Ate or a Kuya to help them find their way, answer their questions, and offer a safe space. Imagine thousands upon thousands of students longing for authentic friendship and true discipleship. This is why every single IVCF chapter in CEVRU holds such a vital role. We are called to be visible, welcoming, and ready to serve.

Our vision for this year's NSO is to empower each of our chapter leaders to be deeply intentional. Embodying the love of Jesus Christ, we want them to step up as loving Ates and Kuyas to these incoming students, inviting them into a life-changing ministry.

We praise God for a highly successful New Student Outreach (NSO) strategic planning season in CEVRU! He faithfully carried us through two face-to-face gatherings and one online session. As we move forward, please pray for our ongoing preparations and numerous meetings of our students. Above all, pray for courage. May God give our leaders creative ways and bold spirits as they welcome and connect new students to their chapters.

𝓡𝓔𝓐𝓓 𝓣𝓞 𝓖𝓡𝓞𝓦 𝓦𝓞𝓡𝓚𝓢𝓗𝓞𝓟 2026

📚💡 Excitement is building for the upcoming Read to Grow Workshop 2026 as volunteers, youth leaders, RTG center workers, and partners prepare to gather for a meaningful day of learning, collaboration, creativity, and fellowship! ✨

Guided by the theme “Love God. Love People.” (Mark 12:30–31), the workshop aims to create a space for interactive sessions, idea sharing, group activities, and inspiring conversations that will encourage and equip participants in serving children and communities through ministry and education. 🤝💙

This event is organized by IVCF Leyte, Tacloban Evangelical Alliance Church – Palanog, and ESPÂSYO, in partnership with MEANS Global. The workshop will take place on June 20, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Tacloban Bible Community, Tacloban City. 🙌🌟

A heartfelt thank you to MEANS Global for their continued support and commitment to the Read to Grow ministry and its mission of empowering communities through learning and Christ-centered service. 💙

InterVarsity Graduates welcomed University of Cebu graduates to Graduates World yesterday with a short program, attendance at the Graduates' online prayer meeting, and a dinner fellowship.

𝘿𝙇𝙏𝘾 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙩-𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣 𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙨 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬.

As the six-day training camp came to an end, the work of the staff and counselors was not yet finished. Following the Camp Culmination, the counselors were finally given time to rest, sing songs together, enjoy fellowship, and even have a little fun through Zumba. One of the most meaningful moments was writing affirmations to one another—a reminder of God's faithfulness displayed through each person's service and sacrifices throughout the camp.

On the morning of June 7, we gathered to worship together at Sunday Service. It was a refreshing time to sit under God's Word and offer our thanksgiving for all that He had done during DLTC 2026.

The rest of the day was spent in fellowship—sharing meals, conversations, laughter, and much-needed rest. Counselors also took part in evaluation sessions where they reflected on their assigned responsibilities and graciously provided feedback to one another. Through affirmations and constructive suggestions, we sought not only to celebrate God's work but also to learn and improve for future ministry opportunities and camps.

For our final day at the camp venue, counselors wrote and shared their testimonies. It was encouraging to hear how God had spoken to each one throughout the camp. Many shared how blessed they were to witness fellow counselors serving faithfully behind the scenes, often sacrificing comfort for the sake of others. As they reflected on the camp theme, they recommitted themselves to living as 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, seeking practical ways to serve their campuses and lead others to Christ through servant-hearted leadership.

As we packed our belongings and heard the 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙡 ring through the camp grounds, we said goodbye to a place that had become home for more than a week.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the people whom God used to make our stay comfortable and memorable. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐮𝐲𝐚 𝐄𝐥, 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞, 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐲𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐭𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚, for warmly welcoming us, serving us with joy, and the meals you lovingly prepared. Your service brought comfort, and strength to everyone throughout DLTC 2026. We praise God for your lives and faithful service.

Before heading home, we were blessed with an opportunity to unwind together. Through the generosity of our graduates and ministry partners, we enjoyed a time of swimming, fellowship, and meaningful conversations about life, ministry, and the future. It was a beautiful reminder that beyond being co-laborers in Christ, we have also become friends and family.

The following day, we explored different parts of Cebu together. We shared meals, discovered new places, took countless photos, laughed at old stories, and created new memories. It was a simple yet precious way to celebrate God's goodness after a week of ministry. More than the destinations we visited, it was the fellowship that made the experience unforgettable.

As we return to our respective campuses and communities, we carry with us not only the lessons learned from DLTC 2026, but also the friendships formed, the prayers shared, and the vision we hold together for God's Kingdom.
Distance may separate us, but our mission remains the same—𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐬.
