𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑻𝒖𝒍𝒊, 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 held last Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Auditorium of the USJ-R Basak Campus was successfully conducted through the initiative and generosity of the 𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 1993.

The outreach activity became a meaningful day of service and compassion for the residents of Barangay Basak Pardo, bringing together alumni, educators, students, and volunteers united by the spirit of community service.

The success of the activity would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the volunteer doctors from Batch ’93, the dedicated Nursing students from the University’s School of Allied Medical Sciences, the Junior High School teachers, and the alumni volunteers who generously shared their time, effort, and expertise.

To everyone who contributed in one way or another, we thank you for helping make this noble undertaking a success. Your kindness and willingness to serve truly embody the 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒕 of compassion, unity, and service to others.

Together, we continue to make a difference in the lives of our community. 𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞!

The 𝐔𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟑, in coordination with the 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, will be conducting an 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 on:

This outreach initiative is part of the batch’s continuing commitment to community service and to extending care and assistance to those in need, particularly the residents of 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒌 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒐.

We warmly invite parents, residents, and members of the community to take part in and benefit from these free services.

Special thanks to the alumni volunteers, medical team headed by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒂𝒏 & his team of doctors and 𝑫𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆 𝑺𝒂𝒋𝒖𝒍𝒈𝒂-𝑴𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒔, both of Batch 93; legal practitioners headed by 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒚. 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒂 of Batch 93 & his team of lawyers, and to everyone who continues to support meaningful activities that promote service, compassion, and solidarity within our community.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞: “𝘙𝘦𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘨𝘪𝘤 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 60 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰… 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘴, 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵.”

Sixty years of friendship, memories, and shared journeys—what a wonderful blessing it was for the CSJ-R High School Class of 1966 to reunite and celebrate this remarkable milestone together.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 at the USJ-R Main Campus was filled with meaningful and memorable moments - from registration, a Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Vicente Ramon, OAR, a tour of the newly built Quadricentennial Building, lunch at the campus canteen, and fun games, to endless chika-minute that brought back cherished memories of the past.

The day concluded with a heartfelt act of service as the class shared meals and blessings with 100 homeless children and adults from the Carbon and Ermita areas through the University’s Community Outreach Program, “Lamesa ni San Jose.”

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 continued the fellowship over lunch at Puso Resto Bar, Quest Hotel Cebu - a fitting and joyful culmination of their memorable reunion.

A heartfelt 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 to all the generous donors, especially 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞, for his selfless generosity in supporting the Alumni Scholarship Fund and the needs of the High School BSP Unit. Special appreciation also goes to the dedicated working team - Claudia, Lucia, Ofelia, and Selma - and to all the batchmates whose support, time, and effort made this celebration truly successful.

The reunion became even more special with the thoughtful giveaways - personalized polo shirts, mugs with individual photos, USJ-R umbrellas, and calendars - beautiful keepsakes to remember this once-in-a-lifetime gathering.

The 𝟔𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐒𝐉-𝐑 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟔 was more than a celebration of the past; it was a testament to enduring friendships, shared values, and a lifelong bond with their beloved alma mater.

Best wishes to the High School Class of 1966 - may the bonds remain strong, the memories stay vivid, and the Josenian spirit continue to inspire. 𝘼𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚!

With hearts full of nostalgia and joy, the HS Alumni Batch 1983 – DDG Forever Friends Group recently revisited the halls where countless memories were made.

Walking through the campus once again brought back stories of friendship, laughter, and shared dreams that have stood the test of time. From classrooms to corridors, every corner echoed with memories of their youthful days.

This meaningful visit was not only a trip down memory lane but also a reaffirmation of the strong bond that continues to unite us after all these years. Truly, friendships formed in school last a lifetime.

Adding to the fun and sentiment, the group also recreated their beloved barkada photo from their high school days—proving that while time has passed, the friendship and youthful spirit remain the same.

They also visited the Alumni Association Inc Office, receiving their Alumni IDs, a meaningful symbol of their lasting connection to their beloved alma mater.

𝐀 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐁𝐒𝐈𝐄 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 1981 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

It was a meaningful and heartwarming morning as the 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗕𝗦𝗜𝗘) 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 1981 returned home to the University for a campus visit filled with faith and fond memories.

The activity began with a 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 10:30 𝐀𝐌 at the Main Campus Chapel, presided over by 𝑹𝒆𝒗. 𝑭𝒓. 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆 𝑹𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑱𝒓., 𝑶𝑨𝑹, Vice President for IFM, Property Administrator, and Alumni Adviser. The celebration set a prayerful tone of thanksgiving and gratitude for the journey shared by the alumni and the University.

After the Mass, the group gathered for a photo opportunity, followed by a guided tour of the Engineering classrooms and laboratories, led by no less than the 𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒓. 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒔 𝑲𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈. The visit allowed the alumni to witness firsthand the continued growth and improvements of their beloved department.

The visit concluded at the Alumni Office, where the batch happily secured their Alumni IDs—free of charge. Smiles and excitement filled the room as they received their IDs, a simple yet meaningful symbol of their lasting connection to their Alma Mater.

In the spirit of compassion and solidarity, USJ-R High School Batch 1993 conducted a Community Outreach Activity last Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Barangay San Isidro Gymnasium, Talisay City, reaching out to families affected by Typhoon Tino.

Through the giving of kitchen equipment, utensils, clothes, and food snacks, Batch ’93 shared not only much-needed supplies but also hope, care, and encouragement to our brothers and sisters staying at the evacuation center.

This simple act of service reflects the true Josenian spirit—standing together in times of need and extending a helping hand where it matters most.

What a truly unforgettable day! Our hearts are full after celebrating more than 20 years of friendship and shared memories at the University of San Jose–Recoletos Bachelor of Science in Accountancy & BSC-Management Accounting Batch 2004 Reunion last October 19, 2025.

From the solemnity of the Sunday Mass to the lively atmosphere at Atmosphere Dines Sportsbar KTV, seeing all your familiar faces, hearing your success stories, and rekindling those strong USJ-R bonds was priceless.

A huge thank you to our esteemed speakers—Atty. Crystal Duterte Allera, Alexis Ceasar Padillo, CPA, Francis A. Talacay, CPA, Noel Flowers, Atty. Vernie Rose A. Bacalso, CPA, Atty. Paul P. Tolomia, CPA, and Atty. Giovanni Bravo—for their inspiring words. And our deepest gratitude to our beloved guest teachers, Dr. Edgar R. Detoya, CPA, Sir Peter Dante E.
