Last November 18โ19, the interns conducted a psychoeducation session with the Junior High School students in response to the recent earthquake and typhoon in Cebu City. The activity was designed to help students understand both the physical and emotional effects of disasters and how to respond to them in healthy and informed ways.
The session provided a supportive environment where students were encouraged to share their experiences, ask questions, and learn coping strategies for managing fear, stress, and uncertainty. In addition, practical safety measures were discussed to strengthen their preparedness for future emergencies.
Through awareness and guidance, the activity aimed to promote emotional resilience and a greater sense of security among the students during challenging times.

This session encouraged us to pause and reflect on the quiet harm that comparison can cause. Looking at othersโ successes through the lens of envy often leaves us feeling empty instead of inspired.
We were reminded that while admiration can motivate, envy only drains our energy and spirit. Growth begins when we shift our focus inwardโon our own goals, values, and progress.
Fulfillment is built through effort and gratitude, not through wishing for what belongs to someone else.

Our guidance talk invited us to reflect on what it really means to live, not just to exist. Living truly is about being honest with ourselves, choosing growth over fear, and finding meaning in the things we do every day.
The session encouraged us to listen to our values, stay true to who we are, and create a life that goes beyond routine. A meaningful life is built through purpose, not perfection.
Let us move forward with courage and authenticity, choosing to live deeply, not just daily.

Mistakes arenโt just slip-upsโtheyโre signposts. this session reminded us that every action we take has consequences, and the real power comes from owning them.
Taking responsibility doesnโt mean dwelling on failure; it means seeing what went wrong, understanding why, and using that knowledge to move forward smarter and stronger. Every misstep is a chance to grow, not a reason to give up.
Letโs turn our mistakes into lessons, and our lessons into better choices. Thatโs how progress really happens. ๐ฑ

Our guidance talk challenged us to take charge of our own growth. Change doesnโt happen overnight, and progress isnโt always easyโbut every step forward matters.
The session reminded us that transformation begins when we decide to act, and it continues when we refuse to quit. Small actions, consistent effort, and determination can create big results over time.
Let us carry this mindset forward: make a change, no matter how small, and keep movingโdonโt stop until you reach the life you want to build. ๐ช

This talk challenged us to look at our decisions not just as habits, but as investments. What we eat, how we spend our time, the people we surround ourselves with, and the actions we take daily, each one creates outcomes that we eventually have to live with.
We learned that โhealthy choicesโ arenโt only about diet or exercise; they also include emotional boundaries, responsible behavior, and self-discipline. The right choices may demand effort now, but they lead to better results later. The wrong ones might feel easy, but they often come with consequences that weigh heavier in the long run.
What we choose today isnโt just a momentโit becomes a pattern, and eventually, our lifestyle.

In this Guidance Talk, we reflected on how challenges donโt define usโhow we respond to them does. Struggles may appear overwhelming, but they lose their hold when we choose resilience over fear and clarity over panic.
We were reminded that strength is not the absence of problems, but the confidence to rise above them with calmness, wisdom, and faith. When we stand firm in our values and stay grounded in hope, troubles become moments of growth rather than sources of defeat.
May we continue to move forward with steady hearts, knowing that difficulties only have power when we surrender ours. ๐

This guidance talk focused on understanding anger as a natural emotion and learning healthy ways to express and manage it. The session emphasized that controlling our reactions not only protects our relationships, but also helps us make sound and mindful decisions.
We were reminded that managing anger begins with self-awareness, patience, and the willingness to respond rather than react. By practicing calm communication and emotional regulation, we can handle difficult situations with maturity and respect.
Let us continue to cultivate emotional control and choose responses that reflect growth and understanding.

Todayโs guidance talk reminded us that writing is more than just putting words on paper โ it is a form of healing. โจ Through writing, we find a safe space to express our emotions, release our burdens, and understand ourselves better.
The session encouraged us to use writing as a tool for reflection and growth. When we give our thoughts a voice, we begin to make peace with our experiences and turn pain into purpose. ๐ฟ
Let us continue to write not only to remember, but to heal, grow, and rediscover our strength.
