How I became a licensed Real Estate Broker after being a teacher?

To become a licensed Real Estate Broker (REB) in the Philippines, you must satisfy the requirements of Republic Act No. 9646 (the Real Estate Service Act or RESA Law), pass the board exam, and register with the proper government bodies.

📍Step 1: Must hold a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management (BS REM) degree from a CHED-accredited institution. This can take 1-2 years of studying if 2nd courser.

📍Step 2: Prepare Documents for PRC Application. Yes, to be a licensed broker, you must PASS the PRC LICENSURE EXAMINATION for BROKERS.

❇️Exam Coverage: Subjects include Real Estate Laws, Property Ownership, Condominium Act, Taxation, Valuation/Appraisal, Financing, Code of Ethics, and Brokerage Practice.

❇️Passing Grade: You must achieve a General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 75%, with no individual subject grade falling below 50%.

📍Step 3: Take the Oath and Secure Licensing

📍Step 4: DHSUD Registration: Register with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) before selling subdivision or condominium projects.

Yes, it was not an overnight success. It took patience, perseverance and lots of prayers. 🙏
