Historical Marker Series | 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗪 𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗚𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡

In celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan, featured is the historical marker of the fall of Bataan, located in the Bataan Provincial Capitol Grounds, Balanga City, Bataan.

​Installed by the Philippines Historical Committee (PHC) on April 9, 1952—exactly a decade after the tragic events—this Level II historical marker commemorates the profound sacrifices made in the defense of democracy. As the marker's powerful inscription states, the events of April 9, 1942, "sealed in blood the permanent ties of friendship and cooperation between the Philippines and the United States." It stands today as a solemn dedication to the enduring memory of the gallant Filipino and American soldiers, alongside the brave civilians, who fought and died side by side against insurmountable odds.

​Today, we honor their immense courage and the legacy of freedom they left behind.

ADVISORY | CTE to extend application deadline for 4 undergrad programs

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) has extended the application deadline for incoming first-year applicants starting tomorrow until March 19, 2026.

The following programs are still accepting applications for AY 2026–2027:

1. Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education (BCAED)
2. Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Social Studies
3. Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Values Education
4. Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education, major in Home Economics

Today, we commemorate the 𝟰𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻—a defining moment in Philippine history when ordinary citizens stood together in extraordinary courage. Along 𝘌𝘱𝘪𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘰 𝘥𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘴 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘈𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘦 (𝘌𝘋𝘚𝘈) in 1986, unity became stronger than fear, and peaceful collective action reshaped the course of our nation.

The revolution reminds us that when people rise with conviction, truth, and solidarity, meaningful change becomes possible. It teaches every generation that democracy must be protected, that freedom demands vigilance, and that we must never allow ourselves to succumb to oppression, injustice, or the 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
