As we officially close our week-long celebration of the 48th National Disability Rights Week, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this celebration meaningful and memorable. We are especially grateful to our School Principal, Ma’am Ana Marie T. Orquijo, Ed.D., for her heartfelt welcome remarks, and to Sir Alex Victoria, PDAO Focal Person, for sharing an inspiring message that reminded us of the importance of inclusion, respect, and equal opportunities for all.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the selected learners from SPED-Diligent for leading the Doxology with reverence and grace, and to Aila Ramos of SPED-Eager for her inspiring performance. We also commend our selected SNED learners for their vibrant and joyful Hawaiian dance presentation, which truly showcased their confidence, talent, and teamwork.

To our learners, parents, teachers, staff, and everyone who supported this celebration from beginning to end, thank you for your unwavering dedication and encouragement. Every performance, every helping hand, and every shared smile made this year’s celebration more meaningful.

As we end this year’s National Disability Rights Week celebration, may we continue to promote inclusion, celebrate every ability, and create opportunities where every learner can shine. Together, let us carry the spirit of acceptance, respect, and empowerment beyond this celebration and into our everyday lives.

Happy Family Fun Day, and thank you for making the 48th National Disability Rights Week a celebration to remember!

Part 3

Day 3 of our Nutrition Month Celebration was filled with smiles, learning, and teamwork.

Today, our learners took on another exciting challenge through our Chef to Go: “Nourishing Every Learner, Celebrating Every Ability” activity. Each class prepared their assigned dish, and it was heartwarming to see everyone participate in their own unique way. Whether they were helping prepare ingredients, assembling food, or simply cheering on their classmates, every small effort was worth celebrating.

Here’s what each section proudly prepared today:
• SPED-Able – Chicken Hawaiian and Saging Sago Salad
• SPED-Brave – Potato Crisp with Apple Juice
• SPED-Calm – Hawaiian Pizza
• SPED-Diligent – Ham and Cheese Sandwich
• SPED-Eager – Fruit Shake

Activities like these remind us that learning doesn’t only happen inside the classroom. Preparing food together teaches our learners practical life skills, encourages teamwork, builds confidence, and promotes healthy eating habits in a fun and meaningful way.

A heartfelt thank you to our teachers, parents, and everyone who supported today’s activity. Most especially, we are proud of our learners for their enthusiasm, cooperation, and willingness to try something new. Seeing them enjoy the process and take pride in what they created made today’s activity truly special. One dish at a time, we continue to nourish every learner while celebrating every ability.
