Day 2 of the international learning and benchmarking exchange of Luis Aguado National High School was successfully conducted today at the SEAMEO STEM-Ed Regional Center (South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization โ Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The visit aimed to strengthen institutional learning, share best practices, and benchmark innovative approaches in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Through meaningful discussions and immersive engagements, participants gained valuable insights into regional STEM programs, instructional strategies, and educational innovations being implemented across Southeast Asia.
The learning exchange was graciously accepted and hosted by Dr. Kessara Amornvuthivorn, Centre Director of SEAMEO STEM-Ed, whose warm welcome and leadership enriched the learning experience. Dr. Amornvuthivorn shared valuable perspectives on regional STEM initiatives, research-driven practices, and collaborative opportunities among Southeast Asian educational institutions.
The activity was led by DepEd-Cavite Education Program Specialist Dr. Liza Soberano, together with School Principal Luis G. Viรฑegas, and Head Teacher II of the Science Department, Ms. Joan C. Tobilla, reflecting the strong leadership and shared commitment of the delegation to quality and globally responsive education.

The guided tour provided hands-on exposure to interactive science exhibits, astronomy displays, and innovative learning spaces designed to promote scientific curiosity and public science education.
The visit to the Science Center for Education further enriched the learning exchange by showcasing effective strategies in informal science education, experiential learning, and the integration of technology in STEM instructionโpractices that can be adapted and contextualized in classroom and school-based settings.
This international exposure marks another milestone for Luis Aguado National High School, as it continues to align its programs with global standards and innovative practices. The experiences and insights gained from both the SEAMEO STEM-Ed sessions and the Bangkok Planetarium visit will serve as a strong foundation for enhancing classroom instruction, curriculum planning, and student-centered STEM learning.

Luis Aguado National High School proudly marked a significant milestone as it participated in a learning and benchmarking exchange at the SEAMEO-SEPS (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization โ Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability) Regional Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
The learning exchange aimed to strengthen institutional practices, deepen understanding of sustainability education, and benchmark innovative programs aligned with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for Sustainability (SEP). This international engagement provided valuable insights into best practices in education, leadership, and sustainable development that may be contextualized and adopted in the Philippine basic education setting.
The delegation was warmly accepted and graciously hosted by Ms. Duriya Amatavivat, SEAMEO-SEPS Centre Director, whose leadership and support contributed significantly to the success and meaningfulness of the learning exchange.
