Building Discipline, Inspiring Service | NSTP Fourth Saturday ๐ŸŒฑ

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) for first-year students continued its session today at Our Lady of the Pillar Collegeโ€“Cauayan (OLPC-C), Inc., focusing on civic duty and community discipline.

During the very first hour, students actively participated in a dedicated campus-wide clean-up drive, showcasing hard work and teamwork in cleaning their respective areas.

Following the clean-up drive, the students have yet gathered again at Msgr. Marino D. Gatan, H.P. Memorial Hall for an orientation led by Sir Kristian J. It was focused on discussing the attendance policies, setting clear expectations for punctuality, promptness, and presence as we prepare for future community involvement.
True service requires both a willing heart and a disciplined mind. Ready for what lies ahead!

Every journey begins with a beginning, and for our first-year students, that beginning started with their first National Service Training Program (NSTP) meeting at the OLPC-C Gymnasium = Msgr. Marino D. Gatan, H.P. Memorial Hall.

The day commenced with an orientation introducing the students to the NSTP, where they met their NSTP instructors and learned about the programโ€™s mission, objectives, and its vital role in shaping responsible, service-oriented, and community-minded citizens. The session also provided an overview of the expectations and opportunities that await them throughout the semester.

Turning words into action, the students concluded the day by participating in a clean-up activity within their designated areasโ€”an initiative that reflects one of NSTPโ€™s core values: serving the community through simple yet meaningful acts.

The first meeting was more than just an orientation; it was the beginning of a journey that will cultivate leadership, discipline, volunteerism, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference.

Hereโ€™s to new beginnings, meaningful experiences, and a semester dedicated to learning, leading, and serving. Welcome to NSTP, freshmen! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ’™

๐‘ด๐’‚๐’•๐’•๐’‰๐’†๐’˜ 21:13

On this Holy Monday, we remember how Jesus Christ entered the temple not out of anger, but with love, forgiveness, and the intention to restore what was sacred. He made a whip out of cords, overturned the tables of the money changers, and drove them out of the holy space. His actions remind us that we must not remain silent in the face of wrongdoing.

This day calls us to reflect deeply on His life. It invites us to look inward and purify our hearts. Just like the temple, our hearts can be filled with distractions, and wrong intentions. But this day is a call to change-a call to courage. We must find it within ourselves to ask: What tables in my life need to be overturned? What must I let go of to make space for God?

In doing so, we allow God to reign in our hearts and teach us that change is necessary, but transformation becomes truly powerful when it begins from within.

As we begin this solemn journey through Holy Week, may we pause and reflect, find purpose and silence in our soul- searching, draw strength through cleansing our thoughts, renewing our faith, and allowing our hearts to become temples of peace, justice, and forgiveness, just as Jesus Christ has shown us.
