Social Studies Circle

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱!

The Social Studies Circle held its 8th annual Ritus Autem Bequeathalem or Rites of Bequeathal with the theme, “A Night of Brilliance, Honor, and Excellence.” Held on May 08, 2026 at the 3rd Floor, Function Hall of the SSU Convention Center, the event became a memorable celebration of achievements, legacy, and camaraderie among Social Studies students.

The ceremony was specially graced by Social Studies alumna, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗡𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗖. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿, who served as the guest speaker and delivered an inspiring and heartfelt message to both the junior and senior members of the Circle. Her words encouraged students to continue striving for excellence, uphold the values of leadership and service, and remain proud of the legacy of the organization.

The event also served as the venue for the unveiling of the new logo of the Social Studies Circle. Together with the original logo designer, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗦. 𝗨𝘆, and the designer of the new logo, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗧. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻̃𝗮, alongside the guest speaker, faculty members, alumni, and honorary members of the Circle, the new logo was formally unveiled by the Supreme Lord Adviser, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗝𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗹 𝗖. 𝗕𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗱𝗼.

As the highlight of the evening, the sacred symbols of the Circle were formally passed down to the newly chosen bearers; members who exemplified exceptional knowledge, skills, and dedication that truly embody the disciplines and ideals of the Social Sciences.

The Royal Family continues to uphold its legacy of academic distinction after once again attaining a remarkable 100% passing rate in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). This outstanding achievement proudly marks the institution’s historic six-peat streak of flawless performance.

Further elevating this milestone, all graduates of the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies successfully passed the LET, officially earning the prestigious title of Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT). This accomplishment signifies a new chapter for these future educators as they embark on their mission to inspire, educate, and transform the lives of the next generation.

This collective triumph stands as a testament to the Royal Family’s enduring commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and professional competence. More than a celebration of success, it serves as a symbol of dedication, perseverance, and passion in advancing nation-building through education.

The Social Studies Circle proudly congratulates its third-year royal members on the successful conduct of the “Career Readiness: Merit and Fitness Job Application Simulation,” held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the College of Education Function Hall. This activity formed part of the final requirements for the course SS Elective 2: Human Resources Management, providing students with meaningful and practical experience in preparing for real-world employment processes.

Under the supervision of their instructor, Ma. Nemia Carcellar, the participants underwent a rigorous screening and assessment process facilitated by distinguished evaluators from various institutions and agencies. The evaluators included Jasper D. Alegro, Faculty Researcher, Samar State University–Advocacy on Gender and Women’s Advancement for National Development (SSU–SAGWAN); Darwin A. Gagnao, Administrative Staff, Samar State University–Center for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Research and Development (SSU–CFARRD); Bryan S. Alejan, College Instructor, Samar College, Inc.; and Lenin G. Mabini, Administrative Officer II, San Jose de Buan Central Elementary School.

Through this activity, students demonstrated their readiness for future professional opportunities while enhancing their competencies in job application procedures. The event highlighted their professionalism, confidence, and commitment to excellence in the field of social studies.
