𝐂𝐞𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦

The Center for Lifelong Learning (CeLL) conducted the Exp of the project “𝗔𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟭 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The activity began with an Overview presentation presented by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 and 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗲𝗟𝗟. She discussed the 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬, 𝘰𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴, and the 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘴, particularly the importance of community participation and data-driven training development.

This was followed by the Presentation of the System and Try-out Comments Proper, led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗝. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. He introduced the platform’s features, explained its current functions, and demonstrated how the system generates training designs based on validated community data.

Eight experts from Samar State University were invited to critique the system, focusing on its features, functions, process flow, and overall functionality.

During the activity, the experts provided comments, insights, and recommendations regarding the 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺’𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, and 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Their inputs will be used to refine and further improve the system as part of the ongoing development process.

The activity forms part of the 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗵𝗮 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲, after which the system will proceed to the 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 and 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 stage, marking another milestone in the project’s goal of delivering AI-supported and community-responsive lifelong learning programs.

𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

The 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 successfully completed a four-day training program held from 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯–𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, conducted under the Training Phase (Beta-First Community Implementation) of the research project “𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.”

The project is led by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗲𝗟𝗟). The initiative also serves as part of her Capstone Project under the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), where she is one of the scholars from Samar State University.

The first day of the training focused on 𝘊𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨, and 𝘚𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨, facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗢. 𝗣𝗲𝗰𝗼 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗠. 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗻, who introduced practical approaches to managing food business costs and maintaining basic sales records.

On the second day, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗢. 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘀 discussed 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴, 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, and 𝘥𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘣𝘰, while 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗔. 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗮 led the session on 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 and demonstrated the preparation of 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘥𝘰.

During the third day, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗔. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗮𝘆 of 𝗗𝗧𝗜-𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 discussed 𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨. After the session, participants placed the prepared dishes in food containers and sold them within the barangay as part of a simple community-based selling activity.

On the fourth and final day, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮 provided a recap of the key lessons from the previous sessions. Participants also evaluated the features of the 𝗔𝗜 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, which supports the development of community-based training programs through AI-assisted analysis and design. The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates to the participants.

As part of the continuing training cycle, the Center for Lifelong Learning also conducted another data collection activity through interviews to gather feedback and additional information that will be used to guide the next training cycle following the recently concluded program.

Through this initiative, the project continues to demonstrate how AI-assisted learning and community participation can work together to support sustainable livelihood development and lifelong learning in local communities.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐬, 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠

On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the third day of the Training Phase under the project “𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” focused on packaging and product market preparation for the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿.

The session featured 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗮𝘆 from 𝗗𝗧𝗜-𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿, who discussed “𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨.” He explained the importance of proper labeling, required product information, and suitable packaging materials to improve product presentation and ensure consumer trust. The discussion emphasized how effective packaging contributes to 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺, and 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴.

As part of the practical activity, participants transferred the prepared 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘣𝘰 and 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘥𝘰 into food containers and sold them within the barangay. The focus of the activity was on proper packaging and gaining actual selling experience in the community. This allowed participants to apply their knowledge in costing, pricing, and portioning in a real-life setting.

Day 3 provided valuable exposure to market-based practices, strengthening the participants’ confidence and readiness to engage in small-scale food entrepreneurship.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the second day of the Training Phase under the project “𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻” continued with hands-on learning sessions for the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿.

The training covered key topics essential for food entrepreneurship, including 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗢. 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗖𝗜𝗧), facilitated the discussion on 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘴, 𝘒𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘚𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘱 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, guiding participants on proper preparation techniques, workflow efficiency, and organizing a kitchen suitable for small-scale food businesses. She also demonstrated the preparation of the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗯𝗼 recipe as part of the Savory Ulam Workshop.

Meanwhile, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗔. 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗮, 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆, 𝗖𝗜𝗧, discussed 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘧𝘦𝘵𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, emphasizing proper hygiene practices, safe food handling, and maintaining cleanliness standards in food production. She led the demonstration of the 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘥𝘰 recipe, providing practical instruction to ensure both quality and safety in cooking.

The second day reinforced the importance of food safety standards and skill development in building a sustainable and market-ready food enterprise within the community.

𝗠𝗿. 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀, 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 of the 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗲𝗟𝗟), was recognized during the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗗𝗘 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for his outstanding contribution to extension initiatives.

On 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the four-day 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 officially started under the project “𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗔𝗜) 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗔 𝗧𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” led by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠. 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮.

The 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 participated in a training session focused on 𝘊𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘗𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨, and 𝘚𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨.

The activity was facilitated by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝘆𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝗰𝗼 and 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗻, 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 of the 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗖𝗜𝗧), who provided practical discussions and hands-on guidance to enhance the participants’ entrepreneurial and record-keeping skills.

This activity marks the beginning of a four-day capacity-building program designed to empower and transform the community through education, technology-supported learning, and sustainable livelihood development.

The project is also undertaken as the capstone of the project leader as a scholar of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

The 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗲𝗟𝗟) conducted the 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 of the project “𝘈𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: 𝘈 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯” on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The activity began with an 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 presented by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗮-𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗮, Project Leader and Director of CeLL. She discussed the project framework, objectives, and the results of the previous phases, particularly the importance of community participation and data-driven training development.

This was followed by the 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗜-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗯-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹, led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗝. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻, Programmer and Developer of the system. He introduced the platform’s features, explained its current functions, and demonstrated how the system generates training designs based on validated community data.

In the earlier 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲, participants identified their 𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘦, which was “𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀/𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻/𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮)”, ranked first with all 36 participants validating the need. Using this data, the system generated a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 for expert evaluation.

During the first round of validation, the experts provided detailed comments and recommendations on various session blocks of the training design. These inputs were then used to 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯. In the second round of validation, the revised version was reviewed and approved by all eight validators.

With the successful completion of the expert validation phase, the system will now proceed to the next stages: 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, marking another milestone in the project’s goal of delivering AI-supported, community-responsive lifelong learning programs.

𝐂𝐞𝐋𝐋 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐀𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐀 𝐓𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗖𝗲𝗟𝗟) conducted a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗻, Daram, Samar, as part of the ongoing project “AI for Lifelong Learning: A Tool for Community Transformation.”

The activity aimed to validate the results of the 𝗔𝗜-𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 generated from the interviews previously conducted with community members. A total of 𝟯𝟲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 took part in the validation process, reviewing and confirming the relevance of 𝟮𝟯 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀.

During the session, participants were asked to validate their top three priority training needs. After the collective validation, the immediate results revealed the following top three training themes:
1. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗸𝗮𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝘆𝗮 (𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥𝘴, 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘴, 𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢) – validated by 𝟯𝟲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀

These validated priority training themes will serve as the basis for the 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲, where learning materials will be generated and reviewed. The training designs will undergo expert validation before moving to the next phase, which involves prioritizing the top training needs for initial implementation in the community.

The activity ensured that the voices of the participants were central to the planning process, strengthening the relevance and effectiveness of future training programs. Through this participatory and AI-supported approach, CeLL continues to promote 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓–𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐒𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟏 𝐎𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐌𝐄 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬

The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧) 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿–𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗢) successfully conducted the 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭 𝗢𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗣𝗠𝗘) of the 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶 (𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘅 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗼) Project at the Samar State University (SSU) Basey Campus. The activity was led by Senior Science Research Specialist Atty. Joseph Albert O. Lledo, together with the PSTO technical team, as part of DOST’s regular monitoring mechanism to assess project progress, compliance, and implementation efficiency.

The PME activity was supported and assisted by the Project Leader, Engr. Mirador Labrador, along with the project team and members of the Balante Agriculture Farmers Association (BAGFA), the project’s partner organization. During the onsite visit, the PSTO team monitored and evaluated the 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 and assessed the status and condition of the 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺 in Barangay Balante, Basey, Samar, which are key components of the project’s Year 1 deliverables.

The activity aimed to validate accomplishments, identify implementation gaps, and provide technical recommendations to improve project performance and sustainability. Through onsite assessment and technical discussions, the PME strengthened coordination among DOST-PSTO Samar, SSU Basey Campus, and BAGFA, reaffirming DOST’s commitment to the effective implementation of science- and technology-based projects that support community development, livelihood generation, and improved access to herbal medicine solutions.
