LGU CARRASCAL REGULATES USE OF CELLOPHANE BAG IN ALL COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS

Pursuant to RA 9003, the Local Government Unit of Carrascal has promulgated a municipal ordinance prohibiting the use of cellophane bags and other single-use cellophane containers in all commercial establishments located within Carrascal. Said establishments include, but are not necessarily limited to, those associated with commercial buildings, sari-sari stores, bakeries, market stalls, and peddlers.

Penalties shall be imposed on violators as follows: first-time (1st) offenders will be issued a warning ticket, second-time (2nd) offenders will be fined one thousand pesos (P1,000.00), and third-time (3rd) offenders will be fined two thousand pesos (P2,000.00). This ordinance and its terms are effective immediately and will remain so unless repealed, amended, or modified
