Last Friday, March 6, 2026, marked a meaningful milestone for the students and community of Carigara National High School as we successfully conducted the Phase 1 Implementation of Project SALIDA (Sustaining Arts, Legacy and Identity through Dance and Activities: Hubhub Folk Dance Research) — an extension project of Palompon Institute of Technology led by Dr. Nelson Enage.
This initiative highlights the importance of preserving culture and identity through folk dance and artistic engagement. The project was made possible through the strong partnership with the Local Government Unit of Carigara, under the leadership of Hon. Eduardo T. Ong Jr..
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the PIT Administration, CTE, PE Department, Extension Office, support staff, BPED students, and everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and passion to make this activity a success. Your collective efforts continue to strengthen cultural appreciation and empower our learners through the arts.
Together, we celebrate culture, heritage, and community through dance. 💃🕺✨

Carigara National High School ended the month of February with a blast through its MAPEH Department Grand Dance Recital themed “Ani ng Sining: Katotohanan at Giting.” 💃✨
Through the leadership of Mr. Glen Mark J. Olaya, the MAPEH Department proudly showcased a celebration of artistry, truth, and courage—highlighting the passion and remarkable talents of our students.

📜 Presidential Proclamation No. 683, s. 1991

Issued by Corazon C. Aquino on January 28, 1991, this proclamation declares the month of February of every year as National Arts Month (NAM).

The proclamation recognizes the importance of arts and culture in nation-building and directs government agencies, schools, and other institutions to promote, develop, and celebrate Filipino artistic expression.

It was issued through the initiative of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), which continues to lead the nationwide celebration up to the present.
