The funding represents an important milestone for the SNSU Food Innovation Center as it advances promising food technologies from prototype development toward pilot-scale production, product standardization, MSME adoption, and commercialization. Through the project, selected food innovations will be further developed and prepared to meet the requirements of potential adopters and the market.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity for the SNSU Food Innovation Center to showcase its food innovations, particularly products anchored on circular economy principles. The exhibition demonstrated how locally available resources, agricultural materials, and food by-products can be transformed into innovative, value-added products with potential economic and environmental benefits.
Beyond product showcasing, the FIC exhibit became a venue for technology promotion and networking. Several guests and potential investors expressed interest in the commercialization of the showcased products, opening possible opportunities for future partnerships, technology adoption, investment, and market development.
The participation of SNSU FIC in the activity underscored the University's continuing commitment to translating research and innovation into practical solutions that benefit communities and industries. The convergence of climate action, food innovation, circular economy, technology transfer, and commercialization reflects a shared vision of creating sustainable livelihood opportunities while addressing emerging environmental and food-system challenges.
The SNSU Food Innovation Center expresses its sincere gratitude to the LGU Del Carmen, the Department of Science and Technology, DOST Caraga, and SNSU, for their continued support to research, innovation, and technology development.
Appreciation is likewise extended to the farmers, fisherfolk, faculty members, students, guests, partners, and potential investors who visited the FIC exhibit and expressed interest in its food innovations.
This milestone reinforces SNSU FIC's commitment to moving from research to innovation, from innovation to technology transfer, and from technology transfer to commercialization and community impact.
