πWhy do teachers need donations for the purchase of bond papers, in order to fulfill their task in this New Normal set-up? Let me put that in perspective.
π
For example:
Class Size - 40 learners
No. of Subjects - Eight (8) subjects
No. of Pages/Module - minimum of 32 pages/Module/Week (Elementary)
βͺοΈ40 students x 8 subjects x 32 pages = 10,240 pages
βͺοΈ10,240 pages / 2 ( back to back printing) = 5,120 pages
βͺοΈ5,120 pages / 500 sheets (1ream) = 10.24 reams of bond paper
More or less 11 reams of bond paper for ONLY 1 WEEK.
11 reams x β±230 = β±2,530 per week
(β±230 cheapest cost of A4 bond paper in the Province)
β±2,530 per class for just one week.
β±2,530 x 4 weeks/month = β±10,120
And if there are eight (8) months for this school year, a school will have to spend β±80,960 for module printing PER CLASS of ONLY 40 learners.
Take note that they also have to procure sets of ink and printers.
If the printing expenses of the modules will only come from their salary, there'd be nothing left for their family.
Although DepEd provided funds for reproduction of modules, this fund will never be enough to cover all expenses, hence, augmentation support from stakeholders is highly encouraged.
So let's help them if their asking for support. Let's not laugh at them if we don't want to help them.
