🌟🦅 CNHS SCOUTS SHINE AT CSYF 2026! 🦅🌟

Cuartero National High School proudly applauds our seven Senior Scouts who represented our school at the Council Scout Youth Forum (CSYF) 2026 of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, held at Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School in President Roxas.

Representing CNHS with pride were:

For three meaningful days, our Scouts actively participated in leadership discussions, collaborative workshops, and team-building activities alongside fellow youth leaders from across Capiz. Their enthusiasm, discipline, and strong scouting spirit truly reflected the values of service, unity, and character. 🤝💛💙

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀.

Some work in Scouting happens in camps. Some happens in offices. Some happens over years. These were the spaces where Don Gabriel A. Daza served . As one of the charter members of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, he took part in building the organization’s foundations and later served on the National Executive Board and as Secretary of the Boy Scout Foundation.

His service extended into national leadership as Acting President and Chief Scout beginning in 1951, and as President and Chief Scout from 1961 to 1968. During this period, the BSP was entrusted with the management of the Makiling National Scout Reservation, strengthening national training and camping programs for Scouts.

Environmental programs formed a visible part of BSP work during these years, including the planting of one million trees around the Angat Water Reservoir. His contributions to Scouting were recognized through the Bronze Wolf Award of the World Scout Committee, as well as the Mount Makiling Award and the Tanglaw ng Kabataan Award, the highest honors conferred by the BSP.

As we mark his 130th birth anniversary, we revisit a period of Scouting in our country shaped through long-term service, national programs, and work that continues to this day.

𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 | Sparrow’s Flock 037 Joins BSP Capiz Scout Youth Forum 2026

Seven Scouts from Cuartero National High School proudly represented their school at the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Capiz Scout Youth Forum 2026, held from January 30 to February 1, 2026, at Feliciano Yusay Consing National High School in President Roxas, Capiz.

The forum brought together 275 selected Scouts from various schools all over Capiz. For many participants, it was a rare opportunity to meet fellow Scouts from different towns, exchange ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences in leadership and service.

Representing CNHS were Jhencel B. Buhat, Kashieca Ken S. Cerbo, Annie B. Berano, Cian Arib, Jainne Lee Angat, Sean Yver Ureta, and James Nico G. Lantoria, together with their outfit adviser, Sir Edmar Barrido. Throughout the three days, the group actively joined discussions, group activities, and collaborative sessions that challenged them to think not only for themselves, but also for their schools and communities.

One of the most meaningful parts of the forum was the message shared by Eagle Scout Niño Angelo De La Paz, who reminded the Scouts to “savor this moment” and always choose what is best for the Capiz Council and their communities. His words left a lasting impression on many participants.

More than just an event, the Capiz Scout Youth Forum became a space for growth, reflection, and connection. Through teamwork and open conversations, the Scouts were reminded of the true spirit of Scouting, leadership, service, and unity, and returned to their schools inspired to serve and lead with greater purpose.
