The BKD Officers proudly took part in Brigada Eskwela 2026, demonstrating the true spirit of bayanihan through service, teamwork, and dedication.

From cleaning classrooms and school grounds to assisting in various preparation activities, our officers willingly shared their time and effort to help create a safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environment for all learners.

As advocates of positive change, we believe that every act of serviceโ€”no matter how smallโ€”contributes to a better school community. Together, we continue to uphold this year's theme, โ€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.โ€

Last February 18, Grades 10 and 11 students gathered at the VASNHS Gym for the PROTECT Symposium, headed and facilitated by the Barkada Kontra Droga Youth Organization of Vicente Andaya Sr. National High School.

With the theme โ€œPROTECT: Promoting Respect, Online Trust, Education, and Cyber-Safety Together,โ€ the symposium highlighted timely and relevant discussions led by our esteemed speakers. Mr. Joel B. Cubelo shared valuable insights on Understanding Cyberbullying (Forms, Effects, and Prevention), including its presence in social media and online games. Meanwhile, PMAJ Marvin R. Balmes tackled Cybercrime Awareness and Online Safety, emphasizing the importance of digital footprint and the legal consequences of online actions.

Through interactive sessions, games, and an engaging Q&A, participants were encouraged to take part, reflect, and become more responsible digital citizens. This initiative aimed to strengthen awareness, promote respect, and build a safer and more informed online community.

๐ŸŒฟ Act Today for a Cleaner Tomorrow! โ™ป๏ธ

In celebration of Zero Waste Month, the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Youth Organization, together with the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and YES-O of Vicente Andaya Sr. National High School, joined the Sangguniang Kabataan of Poblacion Sur in the successful conduct of the โ€œZero Waste Month Clean-Up Drive and Awareness Activityโ€, January 31, 2026.

The activity brought together students and community members through a clean-up drive, a short orientation on proper waste segregation, and a reflection on zero-waste practicesโ€”promoting environmental responsibility and addressing improper waste management in the community.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Poblacion Sur SK and Barangay Council for spearheading this meaningful initiative and empowering the youth to care for our environment. Together, we build cleaner spaces and a greener future! ๐Ÿ’šโ™ป๏ธ
