Capiz State University (CAPSU) officials conducted an onsite inspection at Pilar Satellite College on August 17, 2026, as part of the Systemwide Pre-Opening Conference.

Led by University President Dr. Efren L. Linan, the delegation assessed classrooms, laboratories, administrative offices, student facilities, and other campus areas to ensure their readiness, safety, and functionality for the upcoming academic year.

The visit also served as an opportunity to identify concerns, discuss practical interventions, and strengthen support for the academic and student services of CAPSU Pilar.

The delegation was welcomed by the Satellite College Director, Dr. Jennifer P. Benliro.

Powered Information Graphics Training

PILAR, CAPIZ โ€” August 12, 2026. Capiz State Universityโ€“Pilar Satellite College and the Bureau of Fire Protectionโ€“Capiz came together for a seminar-workshop on โ€œInformation Graphics Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)โ€, aimed at helping BFP-Capiz Public Information Officers create clearer, more engaging, and impactful information materials.

The training explored how AI can be used as a practical tool in developing visual content for public information, awareness, and fire-safety campaigns.

The activity was supported by Dr. Jennifer P. Benliro, Fire Senior Superintendent Atty. Eden M. Altamia-Baua, DSC, and Prof. Stephen C. Cajelo, MIT, together with the CapSU Pilar facilitators Dr. Joesan D. Borres, Mrs. Vicky B. Balajadia, Prof. Christopher V. Magnifico, Prof. Marc Raniel A. Nuรฑeza, and Ms. Jeza B. Lacibal, with the participation of BSIT students.

Also present during the activity were SF03 Aldren Barroa, Head of BFP Pilar, and Mayor Arnold A. Perez, who joined the event in support of the initiative.

More than just a training, the activity reflects the continuing partnership between CapSU Pilar and BFP-Capiz - bringing people, knowledge, and technology together in support of more effective public information and fire-safety advocacy.

Capiz State University โ€“ Pilar Satellite College conducted an Orientation on Syllabi and Instructional Materials Harmonization today, August 12, 2026, at the College Library.

The faculty had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Hazel D. Joaquin, Director for Instruction, and Dr. Emmanuel D. Dayalo, Director for Publication, Instructional Materials and Creative Works, as they shared valuable insights on strengthening our syllabi and instructional materials.

As part of the continuing Student Orientation at Capiz State Universityโ€“Pilar Satellite College, our students participated in the Forum on Drugs: Its Nature and Effects, promoting awareness, responsible choices, and a safer community.

Meanwhile, our freshmen students took part in a Campus Tour, giving them the opportunity to explore the campus, familiarize themselves with its facilities, and feel more at home in their new academic environment.
