You see effort and exhaustion, and other people see consistency and discipline.

Stop announcing your goals. Seriously.

There's research on this. When you tell people what you're going to do, your brain registers it as progress. You get a little dopamine hit. Feels good.

Problem is you haven't done anything yet. You just talked.

Now you're less motivated to actually do it. The reward already came.

→ Announced the business idea at dinner. Never started it.
→ Posted about the new fitness routine. Quit in two weeks.
→ Told everyone about the project. Still sitting in draft.

Sound familiar?

The people who actually execute have a different habit. They stay quiet until it's done. No announcements. No "exciting things coming." No hype before the proof.

Silence creates pressure. Talking relieves it.

Keep the pressure. Do the work. Talk about it after.

Results are louder than announcements anyway.

I write a weekly newsletter where I unpack these ideas.
