Our institution successfully conducted a three-day In-House Review on Extension Programs last December 9–11 across the Sta. Maria Campus, Main Campus, and Tagudin Campus.

The activity brought together extension coordinators, project leaders, faculty implementers, and campus administrators to assess ongoing and proposed extension initiatives. The review aimed to strengthen community engagement, improve project effectiveness, and ensure that extension efforts remain responsive to the needs of our partner communities.

A big thank you to all participants for your enthusiasm, dedication, and unwavering commitment to delivering meaningful and sustainable community services. Your collaborative spirit continues to uplift lives and create lasting impact beyond the walls of our institution.

Together, let us continue empowering communities through innovation, service, and compassion.

ISPSC conducted a coordination meeting on the implementation of the DOST–Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program in Sigay, Ilocos Sur.

The agenda included:
• Overview of the DOST-CEST Program in Sigay
• Identification of priority programs and campus implementers/extensionists
• Establishment of the implementation timeline for DOST-CEST activities

The meeting was led by Ms. Rose Marie C. Detran, Director for Extension, together with representatives from participating campuses.

This initiative reinforces ISPSC’s commitment to advancing community development through science, technology, and innovation.

UPLB Trains ISPSC Extension Teams for Stronger Community Programs

ISPSC held a two-day workshop on November 19–20, 2025 to strengthen its extension and community engagement work. Experts from UPLB shared best practices on volunteerism, community needs assessment, program design, partnership building, and gender-responsive approaches.

UPLB speakers Jose Limbay Lahi O. Espaldon, Kathe Lyn L. Tamisin, and Gilbert Lanwang guided sessions and evaluated campus extension proposals. Maribel C. Ibañez discussed integrating gender issues in extension projects.

Participants from ISPSC’s seven campuses developed proposals aligned with national and international standards. ISPSC leaders, including President Mario P. Obrero (through VP Jonathan L. Dela Cruz) and VP Dr. Jocelyn L. Absolor, emphasized collaboration as ISPSC advances toward universityhood.

📢 CALL FOR PAPERS: Research & Extension Proposals and Completed Papers!

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC), through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension (OVPRDE), is officially announcing its Call for Papers for Research & Development Proposals, Extension Proposals, and Completed Papers. We invite all faculty researchers and extensionists across our campuses to submit their scholarly work for evaluation and consolidation.

Please note the key deadlines for submission. The soft copy of your proposals or completed papers must be emailed to [email protected] by December 3, 2025. Additionally, three (3) hard copies of your papers must be submitted to your respective Campus RDE Coordinators on the same date for consolidation. The subsequent Campus-Based In-House Review will be conducted face-to-face from December 9 to 11, 2025.
