The first-year students of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) have successfully concluded a six-day environmental mission in Barangay Pahinga Norte, marking a significant milestone in their Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS). Specializing in Filipino, Social Studies, and Values Education, and Bachelor of Elementary Education program joined forces to spearhead a comprehensive community cleanup. By trading their academic tools for cleaning equipment, the volunteers demonstrated a profound commitment to ecological restoration and public service. This initiative serves as a definitive testament to the TWA-CTE's mission of producing leaders who are as capable in the community as they are in the classroom.

Throughout the week-long engagement, the student-volunteers proved that leaving a greener footprint is a collective responsibility rooted in proactive social engagement. Working in close coordination with local officials and residents, the freshmen turned their theoretical lessons on citizenship into a tangible pursuit of environmental integrity. Every collection sack filled represented a deliberate step toward a more sustainable and sanitary environment for the local community. The project was characterized by a high level of professionalism and camaraderie, reflecting the students’ transition from classroom learners to emerging civic leaders.

The successful completion of this drive underscores the school's belief that the most impactful educational experiences often occur beyond the its four walls. By immersing themselves in grassroots advocacy, these future educators have cultivated a deeper understanding of planetary stewardship and their roles as catalysts for social change. The residents of Barangay Pahinga Norte now benefit from a rejuvenated landscape, while the students return to their studies with a strengthened sense of purpose. This mission accomplished is a proud reflection of the College of Teacher Education's dedication to holistic development and community-centered excellence.
