Today, April 5, 2024 the Tayabas Western Academy was flooded with happiness and smiles as they held their 3rd Convocation Day with the theme "Celebrating Achievements, Embracing Futures". The program was hosted by Mrs. Manilyn M. Mendoza and Mr. Marlito P. Gollena, and the speaker of the event was Mrs. Avegail A. Sadili, grade 8 chief adviser.

There also some selective students from grade 9 who performed a jaw dropping ballroom dance. While the selective grade 10 students perform a massive hip-hop dance performance during the convocation day.

A variety of street dance forms that have developed as a component of hip hop culture or are mainly performed to hip hop music are referred to as hip hop dance. It is impacted by a broad spectrum of genres developed in the 1970s and popularized by American dance teams.

On March 22, the Mapeh Department held a hip-hop competition whereby Grade 10 students from Tayabas Western Academy showcased their individual dance skills. See how each character, from Artemis to Pygmalion expresses and uses their talent. Mrs. Joanna Marie Llada, Ms. Patricia Briton, and Ms. Mary Jane Ramos are the stunning judges.

Artemis led the victorious group, followed by Athena and Pygmalion. To every student in Grade 10, congratulations!✨
