Today, March 13, 2026, the vibrant community of Baya Elementary School gathered in a meaningful celebration of National Women’s Month, embracing the empowering theme: “Lead like the Babaylans, Filipinas.” Through this gathering, we honored the legacy of women whose voices shape communities, whose hearts nurture generations, and whose leadership lights the path toward equality and progress.

Just as the Babaylans once stood as beacons of guidance and resilience, today’s Filipinas—teachers, mothers, leaders, and young dreamers—continue to weave strength and compassion into the fabric of society. Baya ES observes Ash Wednesday, the start of the sacred season of Lent and a day of prayer, fasting and almsgiving on February 18, 2026.

The recently concluded Year-End Retreat of the Grade 6 Graduating Class of Baya Elementary School, held on February 6–7, 2026, was a meaningful journey of reflection, bonding, and growth focusing on the theme- “Stepping Forward with Faith, Friendship, and Purpose”.

Over two days, our pupils looked back on their elementary years with gratitude, strengthened their friendships, prepared their hearts and minds for the new chapter ahead and reassessing their life and relationship with God.

With thankful hearts, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who generously shared their time, effort, guidance, and support—to the school administrators, teachers, retreat facilitators, parents, and all individuals behind the scenes who made this retreat successful and memorable. Your dedication and love truly made a lasting impact on our young graduates.

As they step forward, may they carry the lessons, values, and memories from this retreat as they continue their journey toward a brighter future. ✨
