The Partido State University-Sagñay Campus successfully hosted a Testimonial Ceremony to honor its newly produced 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀.

This event formally celebrated the remarkable achievement of the successful examinees in the 2024 and 2025 Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination (FPLE). The ceremony took place on November 28, 2025 at ParSU-Sagñay Campus, Library.

The Partido State University, led by President Dr. Arnel B. Zarcedo, awarded a substantial 𝙋𝟏𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 to 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗖. 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟲 of the recent Licensure Examination.

This occasion recognized the hard work, dedication, and academic distinction demonstrated by our graduates. We extended our proudest congratulations to our new licensees who now embark on their professional journeys.

The BS Fisheries students of ParSU-Sagnay gathered to celebrate the 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 on November 27, 2025 at ParSU-Sagnay Campus. The initiative aimed to educate students on the importance of mangrove as a critical habitat for various fish species and its overall ecological significance.

After the seminar, students enjoyed several team-building activities throughout the afternoon. These activities strengthened camaraderie and collaboration among peers through fun and interactive challenges. Unity and cooperation were important in building a shared future.
With laughter echoing through the halls and friendships strengthened along the way, 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 proved that learning is best when paired with fun, teamwork, and shared experiences.

Today, we honor the vital role of 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀. We recognize the crucial role of fisherfolk worldwide. Their hardwork sustain millions of livelihoods and contribute significantly to global food security.

It is a great reminder that we must make informed decisions that ensures the abundance of aquatic resources for generations to come.

Alumni from the Partido State University – College of Fisheries and Marine Science successfully passed the recent Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination (FPLE) that was conducted on October 9 and 10. The Partido State University – Sagñay Campus achieved an impressive 100% passing rate for first-time takers and 57.14% for retakers, resulting in an overall passing rate of 81.25%.

The LAYAG family and the entire campus community proudly celebrate the achievement of W***y C. Janohan, who secured the 6th spot among the topnotchers in this year’s examination.

Tropical Cyclone Opong is forecast to make landfall or pass close to the Bicol Region tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 26).

- 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻: (>200 mm): Sorsogon and Masbate.
- 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻 (100–200 mm): Camarines Sur, Albay, and Catanduanes.

Forecast rainfalls may be higher in mountainous regions and elevated areas.
