Itinanghal na 2nd runner-up sa pandistritong patimpalak sa Festival of Talents: Science and Mathematics STEMazing sina Bb.

"May mga mahihirap po talagang stations po, but still at the end of the day po, manalo or matalo, as long as we did our very best po, that's enough na po."

The Senior High School Science Club successfully held its SciTalk session today, featuring Mr. Arjay M. Caรฑutal as our guest speaker.

As a member of our institutionโ€™s first batch of STEM students and a current DOST Scholar, Arjay returned to share his experiences and provide guidance to our graduating students. During his talk, he detailed the various perks and responsibilities of being a DOST scholar, offering practical advice to those who aspire to qualify for the scholarship.

His journey from this institution to becoming a scholar of the nation served as a significant source of inspiration for our students as they prepare for their own academic paths in science and technology.

This event is an initiative of the SHS Science Club, through the leadership of Claudine Valdepeรฑas and Jester Florita, with the support and guidance of our club adviser, Ms. Janine Pauline Sierda.

We extend our sincere thanks to Arjay for taking the time to give back to his alma mater and for encouraging the next generation of scientists.

Science is often found in the pages of a book, but at San Jose North Elementary School last February 11, 2026, it was found in the fizz of a volcano, in the big world of microscope, and the soaring flight of a water rocket.

Under the banner of Project L.a.B (Learning and Bonding), the SHS Science Club of San Jose Pili National High School traded their classrooms for the open field to mentor the next generation of innovators. The atmosphere was electrified with the curiosity of Grade 5 learners who were eager to discover the "hows" and "whys" of the world.

The success of the mission was a result of a joint effort. Recognizing the scale of the project, the Science Club reached out to the STEM Club officers, whose technical expertise and hands-on assistance proved invaluable. Together, these student-leaders transformed into mentors, bridging the gap between high school theory and elementary-level wonder.

"Seeing the students so enthusiastic was the highlight of the day," shared one of the facilitators. "Itโ€™s about more than just experiments; itโ€™s about creating a supportive community where creativity can thrive."

While the day was physically demanding for the officers, the reward was clear: a community of young scientists inspired to dream bigger. Through the partnership with San Jose North Elementary School, Project L.a.B proved that when we bond through learning, the possibilities are limitless.

Tiring? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Big Plans in the Works!

The SHS SCIENCE CLUB just finished our first planning session for February and we canโ€™t wait for you to see whatโ€™s coming.

Weโ€™re kicking things off on February 9 with Project L.A.B. for a full day of Learning and Bonding. Right after that, on February 10, weโ€™ll have our second SciTalk featuring one of our very own alumni!

The team is working hard to make sure these activities are super fun and enjoyable for everyone. Get ready for a great timeโ€”weโ€™ll see you there!

Bridging Levels, Sharing Joy

The spirit of generosity and camaraderie shone brightly last December 12, 2025 as the Senior High School Science Club and the students of Grade 11-Serenity successfully hosted a touching gift-giving activity for three deserving Grade 7 students.

The event, which emphasized the role of older students as 'Ate' and 'Kuya,' was orchestrated under the guidance of adviser Ms. Janine Pauline Sierda, who advises both the SHS Science Club and 11-Serenity.

The program started with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome message delivered by SHS Science Club President Claudine Valdepeรฑas and Vice President Jester Florita. The 11-Serenity shared a simple, unifying presentation and a lively game, ensuring the Grade 7 were energized and appreciated.

The emotional highlight came during the gift-giving proper, where the generous donations collected by the SHS students were distributed, bringing genuine happiness to the younger students. This initiative beautifully reinforced a nurturing bond between the grade levels, proving that the senior high school students are not only leaders in science but also in compassion

As what the Project GIFT stands for Gifts Illuminates Friendly Ties.
