The Micro-Credential Course (MCC) on Filipino Sign Language (FSL) of the Deaf (Basic Level) Level III, including its implementing guidelines for deployment, has been approved by TESDA Director General Jose Francisco โKikoโ B. Benitez on April 7, 2026.
In line with Republic Act No. 11106, or the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Law, this development reinforces the recognition of FSL as the national sign language of the Philippines and upholds the rights of the Deaf community to communicate in their own language, promoting linguistic equality and inclusivity.

Ang National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) ay inaanyayahan ang buong bansa sa paggunita ng ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ค alinsunod sa Proklamasyon Blg. 1385, s. 1975. ๐
Ngayong taon, tampok ang temang:
โGinintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon.โ
Ipinapaalala ng temang ito na ang inklusyon ay hindi basta adhikainโito ay bunga ng tuloy-tuloy na malasakit, tamang suporta, at sama-samang pagkilos. Ang โginintuang aniโ ay sumisimbolo sa tagumpay na nakakamit kapag ang mga batang may intellectual disability ay nabibigyan ng maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at pantay na oportunidad sa komunidad.
Hinihikayat ng NCDA ang mga lokal na pamahalaan, paaralan, institusyon, at pamilya na higit pang palakasin ang maagang interbensyon, inklusibong edukasyon, at komprehensibong suporta. Ang tunay na inklusyon ay hindi lamang pagdiriwang tuwing may paggunitaโito ay konkretong aksyon, patas na oportunidad, at paggalang sa karapatang pantao at sa kapansanan araw-araw.

This February, NCDA proudly invites everyone to join the nation in celebrating National Down Syndrome Consciousness Month.
Through Presidential Proclamation No. 157, issued on February 18, 2002, February was officially declared National Down Syndrome Consciousness Monthโa time to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and honor the unique abilities, voices, and contributions of persons with Down Syndrome.
This month reminds us that understanding leads to acceptance, and acceptance builds a more inclusive society for all.
