UES hones CJ's journ skills through Intensive Campus Journalism Training
To hone journalistic skills and ignite young journalists passion for responsible journalism in print and broadcast media,Urduja Elementary School (UES) holds journalism intensive training,Sept.20 at UES SBM room.
The training aims to empower young journalists with practical skills and confidence, preparing them to become responsible journalists and leaders within the school community.
The event featured distinguished panel of speakers; Ms. Pamela Amor Villanueva, teacher III,Bagong Silang High School, John Michael Serenilla,Master Teacher I, Caloocan National Science High School, Melvin and Louie Tolentino,former UES campus journalists and alumni.
Ms.Pam shared engaging session on Radio Broadcasting, showcasing her expertise and inspiring students to find their voice on air.
Mr. John Michael Serenilla facilitated a workshop on Individual and Collaborative Journalism, highlighting the importance of teamwork, ethics, and effective news writing.
Creativity took center stage as Mr. Louie Tolentino and Mr. Melvin Tolentino guided participants through the fundamentals of Cartooning, teaching students how to express ideas and opinions through editorial cartoons.
Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and looked forward to applying their new knowledge in future school publications.
With this successful event, Urduja Elementary School reaffirms its commitment to nurturing the next generation of truth-seekers and storytellers.

Urduja Elementary School successfully conducted a Journalism Camp on September 13, 2025. The event was attended by selected students who showed interest in campus journalism.
The camp was facilitated by trainers who are also experienced in the field of journalism. Throughout the day, participants took part in various activities designed to enhance their skills in news writing, editorial writing, photojournalism, and layouting. The sessions focused on developing the studentsβ abilities in reporting, writing, and ethical journalism.
At the end of the camp, participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts and enthusiasm. The school aims to continue supporting programs that develop studentsβ communication skills and promote responsible journalism.
